I stopped in a convenience store on the way home, and in the "mexican drinks" section of the cooler, they had Cokes! -- with SUGAR in them!!! I bought six.

I totally forgot it was Administrative Professionals Day. I received a lovely Hydrangea and a card signed by everyone in the office.
Even though they said I am more than an AA. I am the glue that keeps the company together. Too sweet!

My cholesterol dropped 100 points. My Dr. was so amazed he kept me longer to quiz me on how I did it. Also my female painted bunting is still at our feeder. The male is long gone but she is still here. I am hoping she sets up shop here. I am such a bird watching freak. No one gets how excited I am that she is still here lol.

Jo, I think i was the one requesting a Pix of Whiskers.
I am so glad you got one of her.
She is a cutie. She reminds me of my SIL's cat Furbee.
I hope she is doing good with your sister.
NKB Congrats on getting a Hydrangea from your office workers. It is always nice to get a little Recognition from your fellow employee's.
dachshundsrule70 Congrats on your Choles. level going down.
DH & I are both on meds for that as well.
So as in the words of EsTea..... How did you do it???
LOL...I too want to know. Yea I know staying away from eggs is a tough bullet for me to take. But if that is what you did, then Kudo's to you.
BTW My mother use to love to watch birds. Sad to say that trait
did not pass down to me.
I am not a big bird fan. BUT I DO understand the love of them.
Kudo's to you & your birds.
BTW do you have a dachshund? If so, I would love to see a pix of yours.
DH saw a few and is trying to talk me into getting one.
I am a bit leary of any new pet just yet.
I am still grieving over the loss of my Misty who was a Collie/Huskey mix.
BTW feel free to PM me anytime.
MY PAG is that it is finally Spring here in OHIO
No chance of any more snow till next fall/winter
Now I can open a window like the rest of you all did and get some fresh air into this house

Well all I really have done is stop drinking cows milk. I use to drink 2 big glasses a day of skim. But now I only drink soy in my Kashei cereal. I take Flax seed oil and Omega 3, CoQ-10 and tons of other supplements. I guess the oils and soy really work.

Not one, but two, former employers who are 'christian' and who fired me got their comupance this past week.
One had the girl who replaced me arrested and charged for embezzeling $170,000 from the company. This is something I never would have even thought about doing. Their problem, not mine anymore.
The other had the FBI swoop down on her and seize all financial records and computers. It appears - oh quel` surprize - that she had not paid her Social Security, taxes, or other deductions she held out of employees' checks. She just spent them. Oh, and she did the same with court-mandated child support garnishments -- just kept them and never sent them off to the respective courts. And one of her suppliers is taking her to court for the over $100,000 in equipment she never paid for -- and I know there are at least 10 others that she owes at least $50K to each.
These make me just all warm and fuzzy inside. Hell, I might even dance. LOL!

I had a good couple of weeks at work. The boss is happy with my performance and has said so repeatedly. He's also trying to get me something permanent and because of his visibility on campus, he's a good contact to have. Ugh. I'm "networking" just like a business major. At least I'm not schmoozing. I had overtime which is nice because working part time killed me financially. I've been asked to come in earlier (bleh!) but that will mean even more overtime at any rate. The thing I've noticed is that while the job itself isn't what I want, the recognition is what appeals to me.
I honestly think moving to a city was a good thing simply because the job market forces employers to treat you better. Where I used to live they knew you didn't have many options so they could treat you like crap. Here, they know I can walk away so they must be decent.

More happiness! The computer pooped out this morning! Oh No! So unhooked it all, drove to the office and did morning emails from there. Stopped at computer store 2 blocks away and visited with the guy while he replaced my power supply do-hickie! $30 for part and labor. I LOVE and WORSHIP my computer guy! Also got the kitty a new scratchy pad with catnip, which she is rubbing and scratching all over now. All this before noon on Saturday.

One of the benefits of living mere minutes of the Mexican border is that Costco has Mexican Coca-Cola by the case in those fabulous old style glass bottles. So I get a case and try to make it last by not drinking too often, but it's always nice to have one as a treat once a week or so. I think there are about 24 bottles per case.
I did a little research and it looks like Costcos around the country are carrying Mexican Coke. That's cool, it's nice to have a choice.
