Thanks guys. It's freakin' huge and uber comfy. It took us about three months to find the perfect sofa but it was so worth it.

It looks pretty cool. Do you think the cats would start clawing at it? We bought a cool sofa from Crate & Barrel almost five years ago, and it needs to be re-upholstered, because our cats clawed a good deal of the fabric. Even with the cat tree we bought them. Sigh!

As some of you might remember, my sister's beloved cat died on xmas morning. She's been devastated since then, and everytime the subject of getting a new cat came up, she would get upset and didn't want to make that decision.

Anyhow, in the last week, an ad on Kijiji popped up, and we met with the cat, and I've been exchanging emails with the uber-sweet owner, and it looks like it's a go... my sister is going to adopt this 8 year old 24 pound kitty!! He's a DOLL and I know it will cheer her up. She needs a cat in her life. Cat people will understand this. They seem to be a really good match, and the previous owner said that she'll take him back if anything should go wrong.

YAY for kitty and sister matchmaking!!!

Oh Jo, that sounds like the perfect match! Be sure to post photos if you get some....

I had a good appointment with the optometrist yesterday, and today I am meeting my boss for a career meeting. I am hoping to get to work with my perfect group (we have about 30 groups to choose from) so wish me luck!

Here he is -- it might not be up much longer. Looks like a quickie cell phone picture, but I assure you "Whiskers" is GORGEOUS and friendly and ... uh.. the cat's meow.

He's declawed, which is kind of a compromise for Am, because Rick was kind of insisting on it, and Am would never do that to a cat, so the compromise was to get an older cat who needed a home and to whom it was already done.

It's really a good situation for all!!!

My first show of the year was a great one. I sold some expensive, hand spun yarn. Hopefully the arduous march of 2008 is over, and I can get back to not freaking out about money.

I have a working cell phone! I lost mine and some dork apparently now has it... BUT a friend gave me an ANCIENT phone - I mean like really, seriously old, but it WORKS! I called Verizon and at first they tried to tell me that it costs $200 to have a phone activated. What kind of BS is that... I have been with them for three years... so they ended up doing it for FREE! The new phone fuctions. Hey it isn't the pretty pink camera phone I had before, but at least it works.

Just found out we close on our Brand New townhouse on May 29th !!!! Whoo Hoo !!!

I wrote my math exam this morning after having barely studied for it and not having looked at the subject for two weeks. Mind you, I went to class (when work allowed it) and completed the assignments in full. It was open-book so I took the time to collect my notes and put them together nicely but that was it. I don't know my exact mark yet, but the exam was easier and shorter than expected and I must have received an A of some sort. Yay!

Now I get to study for my scuba course on the weekend.

The bad news: I lost my job yesterday.

The good news: The rest of the week is gonna be sunny and in the 70s. And I'll be enjoying every minute of it while my (former) coworkers are scrambling to meet deadlines and will find out just how much work I did there. Muahahaha! I'll have no trouble finding work. I'm just gonna chill for a bit and get my health back in order. Woooo!

My sister's new kitty finally came out of hiding from under the bed! He was out all last evening and all night rolling around showing off his belly, purring and wanting love. LOL YAY!

Oh, someone was asking for a picture of Whiskers, my sister's new cat... here is one she took the other day when he was still hiding under the bed!

What a beautiful cat! Looks just like my Aria.
