My Hallowe'en costume arrived in the mail today! It needs some alterations, but that was expected and will make it even better.

PrairieGirl Wrote:IN the PAM thread I complained that I had to get my wisdom teeth removed, but had no dental insurance. I have since found out that my regular medical insurance covers no dental procedures EXCEPT impacted tooth removal! YAY! 90% covered, and my deductible is already paid up this year! WOO HOO!
Now, I just need to find a surgeon in my network....
That's awesome! Don't drink anything too hot and do not use a straw.

What are you going to be?
ForMyACDs: I had to laugh at the forgetting the paint part of your story - because I can relate! I'm such a forgetful dumbass sometimes.
The new printer I ordered arrived - an HP that can print onto CDs. I can't believe that thing only cost $90 - the quality of the print on the CDs (haven't tried to print a photo yet) looks almost professional. This is a big help because I'm worried paper labels on my music CDs will cause trouble for fans down the road - especially those who actually end up buying a CD. I'd rather do it myself and know it's done right than order tons of discs from a printer and not be happy with it.
That's a cool costume! Have fun!
PS: The printer I mentioned earlier is un-fucking-believable. This $90 printer prints a photo that looks like it came out of a multi-thousand dollar darkroom.
I'm unashamedly plugging the HP Photosmart D5360.

bellis: Nice costume! Now I want Bittercat to wear it!

My PAG: My boyfriend thinks I'm sexy.
Other PAG: I'm excited about my upcoming craft sale and am trying very hard to get things made/printed/prepared!

Working in a call center is taking my sanity away, slowly. But not for long!
I already found another job. I'll work as a project assistant.
Back in August I went for an interview for a job of project manager. I didn't had the job because of the lack of experience. But the owners of the firm where impressed. The day I started working the vice-president left a message to my mother, she wanted me to call back. I never had the chance to do so. She contacted me this week and meet them today. I thought the job would start in January. But it looks like I'll start in early November. The salary is much better and the workplace is smaller. 5-6 person work there.
I'm so happy. they are aware that I have a bachelor degree. I never thought I would find an employer who really valued my education. I can't wait to start there.
Yay, Dolyne! Best of luck!
Good news, Dolyne!
My PAGs: I found a frame for my sign for my crafting table in November. Also, I'm participating in an Eldering Ceremony for a friend of mine on Saturday night.

He's earned it!

I finally made professor!
I've been in a lot of the previous board incarnations and never made it to prof.

I bought this: Costume
Wow that's hot!! Take pictures and show us at Halloween!

I finally figured out how to make bread and pizza over a fire (using a grill). The trick is: no fire. Just very hot coals and maybe covering the grill with some foil to deflect the direct heat from the bottom so the bottom of the bread/za doesn't burn.
Yeah, I'm into learning how to do things off-the-grid. I've burned some bread and pizza (once to our mutual disgust - we had to toss
that pie), so I'm glad I figured out what millions of people already know outside of Western Suburbia.

My Corning ware Microwave browning plate arrived in the mail today
Yippeeeee
I got it on Ebay for only $2.99 plus shipping.
Its a pretty big plate and can crisp up those frozen pizza's you get in the store with no problems
Now I can try to cook on of my NS Pizza's and maybe This time I will have a crispy crust.

More food topics, but the funny part is I didn't realise the redundancy until after I started writing my own...
I had a BBQ with my coworkers tonight, with steaks and wine and fantabulous company. We then watched an episode of Fawlty Towers, and finished off the evening with a nice chat. A lovely change.
Plus, there's a tea-party fundraiser on Saturday morning, and a going-away dinner for someone on Saturday night. We are likely going to move in a month to a nice building where we share a room with only one other person (instead of a tent with 16 people) and have windows instead of this current deprivation chamber. Change is always good, even if it's just something new to bitch about
