So jealous!!!

I wish I could afford a new car now, but sadly I'll probably have to settle for a cheap, used, grocery-getter. Sad

Congrats!

I love my Honda Civic Hybrid! I even added another 10mpg, just by going the speed limit. I get 55mpg!!! Every tank!! I love it!!!
Do you like the smell of your own farts? Big Grin

How in the heck do you manage that? I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid and I average 37 mpg. I just met someone with a regular Honda Civic who gets the exact same mileage. What am I doing wrong?

PrairieGirl

My miles are pretty much all highway. In town during the summers when I don't work, I get around 35-40, but I bought the thing to drive to work (100 miles, one way). The Civic gets better highway miles than city miles, while it's the reverse for the Prius.

Hmmm...I do more city than highway driving, but even on the highway I only get 40 mpg.

I don't get it either, but I'm grateful for it! This thing hits the old-style EPA estimates, not the new ones.

I can go 600 miles on a tank, now that I drive the speed limit. It's so mind-boggling, I have to pinch myself!

Generally speaking, though, make sure your tires are inflated properly, the car is tuned, etc. I found I get another 4-6 MPG just by making sure the tires are inflated properly.

Noelle -- we kinda got off the track, but I wanted to say your car color is fabulous! That thing is so cute!
YAY Congrats!!!

Where is Emma? I know she is a cult member as well!!

WAY TO GO gorgeous ride!!!
Very nice!

I wish Mini Coopers were hybrids. I mean, why not? I get 30 something mpg with my Mini, but if it were a hybrid it would be fab!
Congratulations! Love the color! Great car!
Very sexy! I love the colour.

Congrats and Happy Motoring.Convertible
I want Subaru to make a hybrid. That would be my ideal car. Somebody call them and suggest it.

Fiona

And when you get off the 'phone with Subaru, call Jeep and ask them to build me a hybrid Liberty!

Nice Rod!

I'd been wishing that the PT Cruiser would have a hybrid but the car is going off the market soon. $%&*@ Chrysler!
It's so cool and hi-tech!
i need to study the owners manual now.

FuzzBunny

Do any of the hybrids have bench seats? This may sound silly, but most economy cars have stick shift, even the automatics, with a bunch of crap that rubs your right knee, and those damnable bucket seats. I'd love to have a hybrid, but not if I'm going to be uncomfortable driving for any distance.
