Well this was suppose to be a relaxing night for me and my husband BOB Yes that is my hubbys name. So as of this day fwd I will refer to him as Bob & not DH
LOL
But anyway we were siting relaxing and enjoying an episode of "Just Shoot Me" when Bob's cell phone rang!
His sister called him to ask him a big favor.
It seems that, as I speak right now, my niece is flying home from Phoenix AZ. After visiting her new Boyfriend that she met while in basic training ( aww to be young & in love, sigh) Anyway. SIL goes on to Bob about how she had arranged for someone to go pick up her daughter. SIL will not drive downtown she is a "nervous driver"
But due to flight delays & layovers ( she is flying out of Chicago now) My niece won't arrive at the Cleve airport till around midnight or so. And midnight was just too late for this mystery friend of my SIL to be driving around town.
So SIL called Bob in the hopes that he would go get our niece.
And of course Bob said yes! That is what uncles are for!
And I was a bit shocked! But, hey it is HIS niece. On his side of the family. So what am I to do? I just get cheated out of my only time to be with my hubby.
Its not like my hubby has a 9-5 job.
I rarely see the man.
But that is all going to change very soon.
But I digress.
SIL Tells Bob to call Cindy and tell her to look for Uncle Bobs Car.
And when we get a hold of niece Cindy on the phone.
Cindy sounds like death warmed over on the phone.
( my hubby has sound turned way high up on his phone cause he has loss of hearing in one ear, so I can hear the conversations he has on his cell phone).
Bob tried to ask her what was wrong, but she would not say much.
All she said was that she was tired.
(And I suppose she would be after having her brains screwed out all
weekend long,) But Bob told her to call his cell and he would drive up to go get her. She is very lucky we live only 10 min from airport.
But anyway, NOW Bob is in the shower!
And he will get dressed and run us on out to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
and get Cindy and take her home.
This is like a $70 cab ride on our GAS!
But I guess that is what family is all about.
SIL better remember us BIG TIME this Xmas!
That is how I will end this. As I got to get going too.
I figured if I rarley get to be outside. So the good side to this is I get
to ride shotgun! LOL
