OK I told you all about my ghost story.
Had I known that it was going to continue on.. I never would have done what I did.
We was shopping at Giant Eagle yesterday. And in conversation I had asked DH how he liked the S.F brownies we bought last week at the super Walmart
He claimed to have never tasted it.
I said "come on you had to have the Brownie has all the markings of YOU!"
In other words eaten with a fork, not cutting a hunk and taking a plate like a normal human does. No, not him, he always justs dives right in with a fork, & chows down
But, He swore up and down he never ate it.
And,I know I did not eat it.
So someone did! Of course I acted like a jerk and said "sure you didn't"
In a smug manner and of course that is when the fight broke out.
He said he did not want to shop anymore.
He just told me to get what I needed and lets get the hell out.
I of course let him cool off and then later on I said I was sorry.
I felt like Twocents not trusting him. I should have known something was up, especially after my TV incident.
Well anyway, I said to DH
"well, if you did not eat it and know I did not eat it, then who did?"

Hmmmmmm could it be our Casper? LOL
OMG not only is my ghost electrically gifted, in fixing our florescent light.
He/she has a sweet tooth too.
Too bad it is S/F kind.
But it must have liked it. Cause it ate a good section of it.
ITMT DH was still a bit miffed at me for not believing it was not him.
I thought maybe he got up in the middle of the night and ate it.
But he swears he did not sleep eat! So, the only other explanation is our Casper, lol
TG he is a friendly ghost.
Of course, I have to think of a new name of it.
Cause, I don't know if it is a boy ghost and I would not want to upset her if it is a she, and name it Casper, lol
So I need a universal boy/girl name for this thing that now has taken off with Boots brush.
Its been sitting in the same place this whole time. And now when I want it, it is gone.
I just hope it turns up soon.

Well anyway, when we got home I showed DH the cake and how much was missing from it. And DH said it was not him for the last time. So I had to believe him! Then we kissed and made up.
And I just hope nothing else comes up missing or half eaten.
What is really bizarre about the Brownie/cake is that the seal to it, was not broken. ( And NO we did no buy it that way. It was a whole SF brownie turtle cake. That is only sold in certain super Walmart stores, and it was in tact the whole week)
Yet somehow it managed to open it from the other side of the plastic container and eat out of it.
And it took it out from the fridge no less.
( what a talented ghost!)
It was out on the counter
( sealed of course) for a very long time still untouched. And I decided to put it in the fridge cause I know Bob likes his chocolate cold & sometimes so do I. I guess the ghost does too, lol
I tell you gang, this spirit really has a hold of this house.
I wish I knew what to do?
Maybe I should call a ghost buster, lol
Naaaaa, as long as it stays friendly, it can stay.
Just, stay away from our food! LOL

So anyway a lesson learned in this house is, when something comes up missing and the neither of us has any prior knowledge to it.
We better believe each other.
Cause we know this place is haunted!
You mentioned sleep eating, honestly if he did that he wouldn't know it so it's a possibility! Different medications can trigger it as can stress from work, life, etc.

A friend of ours apparently got out of bed, sent several e-mails to a high paying client, ate some cake and poured grape juice all over the counter and went to bed. In the morning the wife thought the dogs got into their house or someone broke in! (Lights were on, etc...) Turns out he slept walked/ate/????

PrairieGirl

I'm pretty sure ghosts don't eat.

So, the first thing I'd do is check all your door and window locks. The second thing I'd do is set some mouse traps.
PG: Do mice go in the fridge?
LOL Nah we never had a mouse, and I doubt we ever will.
Now that we have Boots.
And all of our neighborhood cats made sure there was never a rodent problem in this neck of the woods.

Kirby, Oh for sure I still think DH ate it in his sleep.
He has slept walked in the past.
He also cusses, spits, laughs, and kicks in his sleep too.
Which is why we sleep in seperate beds.
A little hint to the newleywed here. A key to a long and happy Marriage is............ Seperate BEDS, lol

Anyway, His new job is more stressful as he is on the clock all of the time. He has an on board computer system that he deals with daily. That lets him know where he has to be at, at all times.
Where his previous 16 yrs at ECK, he never had to report to anyone or anything.

Also, this job involves more typing and BS paper work. Having to key in dispatch work after every trip. And after a whole year of that, it would make anyone walk & eat in there sleep.
BUT he insists, he did not eat IT!
So who am I to argue? Dontknow
That is just too weird.

So...here are the possibilities:
1. Your DH ate it and is lying.
2. Your DH ate it and doesn't remember. (someone suggested sleepwalking)
3. You ate it and are lying to us. (I doubt you would do this.)
4. You ate it and don't remember. (see #2)
5. Boots ate it. (how would he open the fridge?)
6. The ghost ate it. (as someone said above, ghosts don't eat)
7. Mice/rats ate it. (how would they get into the fridge? Check for holes.)
8. It was like that in the store and you hallucinated that it wasn't. (unlikely)
9. Someone broke in to your house and ate it. (possible, but why would they only eat a brownie and leave your valuables untouched?)
10. You had a friend over (or the cable guy or mailman) and they ate it while you weren't looking. (This is my personal theory.)
11. . Something lives in your refrigerator and ate it, like a chicken or something. (unlikely, but it would make a great movie: "Zombie Brownie-Eating Chickens from the Deep Freeze")
12. It disintegrated on its own due to some bizarre chemical process. (This is my 2nd favorite theory.)

LMAO
Your a hoot CFS Those are all good possibilities.
But I must clairfy I ain't lying!
And No WAY was it like that when I bought it.
And NO I don't have any vistors, repairmen, or anybody has come into my home at all period.
Boots does not know anything about the fridge.
There are no holes in the fridge as we just cleaned it before I had my BBQ for my niece.

No one would break into this house without us knowing about it. We have deadbolt locks on both doors! and if this house was broken into, we would know it!

I would never fork a piece of cake the way DH does.
I always use a knife and cut off what I want.
I really believe DH ate it. If he knew I just typed that, he would divorce me, lol He is dead serious he did not eat it.
But other then the ghost doing it, I have no other answers.
Cause if the cake would do something like #12 then why wasn't the whole cake gone. Why just a small area of it? And why leave a fork pattern in it too??
And No I have nothing in my fridge that could come to life and eat it either. But OMG what a movie that would make indeed!
But anyway thanks for the laughs CFS I needed that!
And trust me this story is REAL!!!!!!!!!!
A fork pattern, eh? Have you found the fork that was used to perpetrate this crime? Are there traces of cake DNA on it?
