I'm having a hard time just trying to "live a day" in my life.
Of course I should be thinking positive thoughts and I have many good things going for me right now. But I'm stuck in a rut: wake up, go to work, go home (hubby just went to work), go to bed, repeat.

My New Year's resolution is to donate and volunteer at the local animal shelter so I feel less apathetic about the world.
I do have plans for 'body modification' piercings and tattoos, but those are only short-term solutions. I want to move far-far away (from the in-laws) get a better, fun job. These are things within my grasp, just having a hard time saving up resources, or generating motivation to move my butt and get it done.
For me, what I am able to do through volunteer work is what keeps me going. Without that, I'm really nothing. The value of giving of your own time and money can't be overemphasized. Good for you for your resolution!
I also approve of this. Getting out and doing something where you feel of value can really help you.
One of the issues is that up until now all I knew was what I DIDN'T want to do with my life (kids). Now that I'm getting sterilized, I can finally shift my focus on what I can do, what I want to do!
I know what you mean CuzinOfTheOtherWorld I too have a hard time feeling it. I just cannot seem to get motivated to do anything But sit & type or play computer games.
I know I need to get my lazy ass up and moving. But, I just can't seem to do it. I guess I am tired of failing. So I think I gave up on myself. I know, that is a rough thing to admit to,. but it maybe true. So I understand where your coming from. Hug
Good Luck in whatever you decide to do.
Working at an animal shelter sounds like fun. Maybe I will look into that some day too.
Here's hoping and wishing that you attain all your dreams and goals!
