It is with a sad heart I am having to post this message. My husband and I bought the world's sweetest, most mellow pug a month ago...and then found out I am pregnant with our first child shortly after buying the puppy. Because of the two combined events, I've found I'm unable to take care of little Beau the way he needs to be treated.
He plays extremely well with other pugs (we have a grown one who he absolututely adores), and he's the biggest love bug I've ever met. He's almost completely potty trained on his potty pads, too. Beau will be a very small pug. His Mom only weighs 10 lbs, and his dad weighs 8 lbs. He's gorgeous. He's a very healthy boy, but he does have a sensitive tummy, so no people food for this little guy. I am interviewing families who can give my sweet boy all of the attention he deserves. He loves to run and play, so if you have a yard, that would be ideal for him. That fucking cunt! I'm absolutely LIVID right now and posting here instead of posting a reply to her. If I posted what I feel there, everyone will really hate me, more than they pretty much already do.
When she finds herself pregnant again after her kid is about a year old (and she will, these military bitches breed like animals---that's one reason I don't hang out with the other wives) will she sell that kid for $500 when she gets morning sickness again?
And on top of her horrid selfishness, she's not giving the pug away to a nice home, SHE'S SELLING HIM FOR $500. OH MY GOD I'M SO ANGRY I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT!!!!!!
P.S. I know there are other military wives here on this board, and we're CF and cool and nice and would never do that to a puppy or kitty. I'm just saying as a military wife myself, I've had way more experience with this kind than I've had with our kind.
I think it's pretty appalling that she is trying to get cash for the puppy.
I'm glad the puppy won't be being raised by her, though. Jesus. I can sympathize, but when you get a puppy, it isn't conditional on you being in perfect health or keeping your job or whatever. You commit to raise a dog. You don't sell the dog because it's harder to care for him.
I mean, sometimes an unforseeable change in circumstances can so dramatically impact your ability to care for an animal that the right thing to do is re-home the animal, but those cases are few and far between...AND most people aren't trying to make a fucking profit off of it! Christ!
I agree that military wives can be the worst kind. I am one too and can't believe how they just breed left and right. I am so tired of these stupid bitches throwing their poor animals away. I know 2 ladies who are pregnant and are NOT giving away their pets. It can be done!
What I want to know is what kind of morning sickness is she having that prevents her from caring for a puppy? Does she puke constantly for hour and hours on end? If the dog has to be constantly watched because he's still in that stage where he'll destroy stuff the minute you turn your back, how hard is it to just take him into the bathroom with you? I guess I'll never understand because I'll never experience morning sickness, but as far as I'm concerned it's the most bullshit excuse for giving away a pet - EVER.

Better for her to give it up to someone who can take good care of it now (preferably a CF person/couple). At least the poor puppy's ears won't be subjected to the screeching wails of a newborn, and tail pulls and being carted around like a doll when it hits toadler stage. I feel bad for the dog that they're keeping.

"Kennel it up" as in putting it in its own little cage... Or if no cage, keep it in one single room.
This way if it did get into something, at least its one room messed up and not the whole house.
I think this bitch just bit off more then she could chew $$ wise.
She realized that her vet bills have increased and she is just looking for an easy way out.

This is their first kid, so I guess she's overwhelmed with the miracle and the greatness and stirrings of motherhood and blahdy blah blah.
So maybe she wasn't planning on getting pregnant right now, I read in her profile that they're newlyweds. I just know she fucking SUCKS ASS.
Some military guys are getting several months notice of their deployment, and some are getting as little as a couple of weeks notice, I don't know their situation.
When we lived in Maine, DH's skipper at that time was a SEL-RES, meaning he was a selective reservist and he wasn't around full-time. He was a commercial airline pilot for his main job and he was the skipper at the squadron the rest of the time. So as a pilot he was gone about half the month, as the skipper he also had duties that took him away from home including a yearly 2-week detachment. So his wife, a lovely woman from Sweden, was alone pretty much all the time. So what does she do? She has babies. Last count I think she was about to spew #5. Back when she had "only" three kids (all boys under age 5), I asked her if it was hard for her since her hubby was gone all the time. She said it wasn't hard because the kids keep her company, so I had to assume she was breeding so she wouldn't be lonely. I'm sure she also loved the attention she gets while pregnant, and of course he has to come home when she squeezes another baby out.
But despite all that, they also had three dogs, and she managed the kids and dogs quite well. The youngest was a Great Dane puppy bouncing around and full of energy, and the oldest was elderly and needed special care and attention. So if she could do all that, without any help from maids or nannies, and her family lived far away in Sweden, why can't this bint handle a Puggy pup and being pregnant?

What stupid cow. Why the money? That's extremely greedy if you ask me, and it will be a big obstacle to that poor doggy finding a good home!

...and another thing: Why the FUCK is this moron BUYING puppies? Aren't there PLENTY of beautiful dogs (in this case, pugs) in foster care and at rescue just waiting for forever homes?

a pug when there are all sorts of foster and shelter groups that
have the same kind of dogs for probably half the price she paid.

Yeah, the San Diego Pug Rescue Group is pretty much full to the brim with cast off Puggies of all ages. If she wanted a companion for her adult Pug should could have gotten another adult Puggy and then she wouldn't have to deal with the all the puppy stuff while she's pregnant with her precious spawn. Beeotch. And it sure as hell wouldn't have cost $500 to adopt one.

AND if she had gone to the shelter to begin with, she would have seen
