I just found out Laura Scott is going to be on a San Francisco public radio show, Forum, today at 10 am pacific time. It's on Sirius Satellite Radio, if you want to call in. Also, you can ask questions through e-mail at forum@kqed.org. This show is generally pretty good and not sensationalistic, so I think it will be a good topic. The author of "All Joy and No Fun" article in New York Magazine will also be on.

It was interesting. Most callers and e-mailers were CF.
I e-mailed but it didn't get read on the air. Though some other e-mailer made similar points. Interesting they concluded that the more deliberate and thoughtful types often chose the CF option.
Some guy called in and said he had just finished writing a book about how if you become a parent you might be bringing in a bad person into the world(he used the Frankenstein analogy). The New York Magazine writer of course said but you could bring someone who would do good in the world(she didn't say cure cancer at least).
