OK, there are a few new shows coming up for the fall season. I've seen some ads for a few of them.

Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck looks good
The Defenders with my boyfriend Jerry O'Connell - not too sure
Hawaii Five-0 looks dumb - might go the way of Bionic Woman from last season
No Ordinary Family - not sure yet
L&O Los Angeles - definitely going to watch

Are there any shows you're looking forward to/not looking forward to?
I've wondered about some of these new programs. The one with Selleck doesn't appear to have women in it at all, although I think there may be a clip of a stripper in one of the promos. I shy away from these guy-heavy shows. They should look at the Mentalist - incredible show and 2 great women - the team leader is a woman!

I thought Hawaii 5-0 might be fun, not sure.

I'll have to rely on my mom to tape all the shows as they are on so late! I really look forward to new The Good Wife and new Mentalist. LOVE both of those shows.
# 6 show that was not listed out of the 5 mentioned is called
Detroit 187 on ABC
I plan on watching this show too.
As it stars Michael Imperioli From The Soprano's & Ernie Hudson from Oz.
Both show's I watched faithfully to the bitter end.
So I am very excited to see how Detroit 187 shakes out.
But as for the other 5 shows mentioned?
I plan on watching all but one
Hawaii 5-0 (ugh)
I have no desire to see that one at all.
I will check out _Law & Order: LA_ and _No Ordinary Family_ although I'm afraid the latter will be disappointing. I'm not interested in any of the others. And comedies almost always suck.

OH Thank you so much eslbee Hug I almost forgot about
"No Ordinary Family" I want to see that show too CoolBeatnik
NBC & every other network is gearing up for new shows.
Its so hard to keep track Oldman
I Quess I am slippin gin my old age Now I Must abdacate & hand down my thrown to someone else.. You see my brother use to call me the "TV Queen"
Now, that is no longer true. Cause 50% of my time is devoted to other interests.. I am no longer 100% glued to the tube as he use to accuse me of.
Siblings can be a BIG PITA
I have no siblings, so I ignore other people instead.
I saw an ad for another new show. "Outlaw", staring Jimmy Smits. Looks good.

JIMMY Smits?!! I LOVE Him NKB. Please tell me, if you know? What Station? & What Time?
I hope its not a day or time that conflicts with anything else I may watch. My Poor DVR will be on overload this Fall, LOL Smile
I might check out Public Defenders. I really like the promos I've seen, even though that kind of show is not normally my cup of tea. I really like Jim Belushi believe it or not, and Jerry looks like he feels very comfortable in his role.

I am also going to check out a new show coming to HBO called 'Boardwalk Nation'. I believe it's supposed to be some kind of movie about the underworld set in the 1930s. I'm a big history buff and that is one of my favorite eras. If it's just a rip-off of the Sopranos I won't be sticking with it.

I am looking forward to a couple of shows returning in September -- Sons of Anarchy and Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I get HBO too Horse Racer. So if this show does not conflict with anything else I record or watch, I might check it out.
And Yes I too was a Big Soprano's fan. So copycats off of that show, are easy to pick out, sad to say.
I hope for our sake its NOT.. Ever see the movie "White Heat" That was set in the 30's era I think. Good flick.

I also might check out that Defenders show. Cause I like Jim Belushi too

But what I am really looking fwd to is Detroit 187. Speaking of the Sopranos.. Crissy is starring in that show. So, its nice that Michael Imperioli was able to find new work after "Life On Mars" got axed
When do the new shows start? I'm just hoping to have *ANY* type of television reception by then!
September, mostly.
There are SO MANY NEW Shows still to come This Sept. Its going to be hard keeping tabs on all of them.
NBC has this new show, that one of the guys that was in OZ is on it. So I have to check that one out.
Not to mention I am still waiting to see Detroit 187 on ABC

But here is a List of shows that won't be coming back till Jan 2011 A couple of them in Late Sept so check it out.

I can't believe "V" is still on but FlashForward was cancelled.

Which guy from OZ is it, TW?

PrairieGirl

NKB -- I agree. FF was the better show of the two, although I liked both.

The Guy that Played Gov. Devlin, the jerk that McMannus hated Smile
He was the one that started the riot by not letting the prisoners have congegal visits anymore & banned smoking too no less, lol.

LOL OK I looked him up & his real name is
Ċ½eljko Ivanek And the new show is called "The Event".
This guy also starred in Big Love which I watched & Damages
which I watched one season of.
He is a pretty good actor.

Oh yes - I loved him in Damages. He's been on a ton of shows including L&O and others.
ABC Has a new show called "The Whole Truth"
I plan on checking that out too. Cause I do like a good law show.
And this looks to be pretty good one, I hope.

There is a show called "Chase" that looks like it might be really good.

Looking forward to L & O Los Angeles.
The Good Wife has to be returning, right? They cannot leave me hanging by not telling me who Alecia chooses, lol!

TV Guide has descriptions of many of the new shows, as well as a summary review by Matt Rausch. Figured I'd post the reviews here.

HAWAII 5-0 -- A robust reboot that feels can't miss with explosive action, gorgeous scenery and equally hubbarific stars reinventing iconic roles. The sparring bromance between gung ho O'Loughlin and Cann's wrly scene-stealing "Danno" helps brighten the often violent mayhem.

CHASE -- These boots are made for yawning. A sprint to nowhere, this generic catch-the-fugitive procedural has one asset: Kelli Giddish as the feisty macho heroine. Run, Kelli, to find better scripts.

THE EVENT -- This lavish and grippijng high-concept conspiracy thriller is desperate to be the Next Big Thing, but risks being a Bit Whatev if it doesn't pull back on the pilot's chaotic time jumps. Good thing Jason Ritter's hero makes us care what happens next.

LONE STAR -- The fall's best and most original drama taps a gusher of intrigue and twisty romance, with star-is-born James Wolk the most irresistible con man since LOST's Sawyer. Where is this tory going? Can't wait to find out.

MIKE & MOLLY -- While the too-crude pilot often stoops to get belly laughs from big-belly jokes, it's the ginantic heart displayed by its charming stars that will decide if we fall in true love with this larger-than-life couple.

RAISING HOPE -- O, baby, this one's a hoot. The fall's boldest and wackiest new comedy makes up in raucous energy what it lacks in sophistication. Martha Plimpton is ferociously funny while bringing a warm, wise grit to this rollicking white-trash family circus.

DETROIT 1-8-7 -- "Detroit" doesn't reinvent the wheel but promises to be a mighty fine ride. Though we have yet to see the revised pilot, the intrusive TV cameras were always secondary to this smartly cast urban crime drama's gutsy, gritty allure.

NO ORDINARY FAMILY -- THere's plenty to like in this muddled hybrid of family drama, supernatural adventure and slapstick comedy. It's certainly unusual, but has a ways to go to become truly incredible. Or even exciting.

RUNNING WILDE -- Can a romantic comedy work if you're not in love with anyone on screen? Extreme absurdism is the guiding principle of this off-putting curiousity, which delivers more smarm than charm.

THE DEFENDERS -- Don't bet against this house. The stars' cocky swagger brings a light touch to the courtroom theatrics, and a little Vegas pizzazz adds to the escapist appeal.

BETTER WITH YOU -- Sandwiched amid last season's comedy breakouts, this painfullyh contrived but harmless rom-com is a throwback to a less inspired time. Some of the comic talent may be able to keep this from being thrown overboard.

THE WHOLE TRUTH -- The late addition of Maura Tierney to the cast made the premiere unavailable for preview, but we can only hope she improves this superficial and clumsy ping-pong game of generic legal maneuvers. The breathless original pilot felt more like a trailer than an actual show.

UNDERCOVERS -- As sleek and slick as its stars are hot, "Undercovers" is, at first glance, slightly undercooked. The jaunty thrills lack the chill of dangerous unpredictability we would expect in a post-"24" world. It plays things too safe -- though that could change by the next mission.

LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES -- You can take New York out of the equation-andwe still wish the moterhship had been given a more honorable send-off-but the original L&O formula has proven to be incredibly durable. LA, do this franchise proud.

HELLCATS -- Gimmie a P! Gimme a U! What's that spell? More jeer- than cheer-worthy, this energetic but emotionally empty vessel looks like an ABC Family reject.

NIKITA -- Cherhcez-and beware-la femme. The fugitive assassin has lost none of her allure in this riveting and rethinking of a paranoid action classic.

MY GENERATION -- Welcome to "Gen Zzzzzz" -- as in: Wake me up when these stereotypes get over themselves. "Generation's" originality gap squanders its distinctive tone and promising young cast.

OUTSOURCED -- The culture-clash premise drowns in a sewer of offensive caricatures and lame jokes.

SHIT MY DAD SAYS -- Put a bleeping sock in it. The pilot is being reworked, but watching Shatner's shallowly conceived grouch belching trite punch lines makes us nostalgic for the days when Archie Bunker's provocative bellowing shook the TV world.

BODY OF PROOF -- The hero's hands aren't all that go numb as we endure ANOTHER clinical procedural. While Delany looks great, even those legs can't support the notion of a know-it-all so comically confrontational she makes Dr. House look wimpy.

BLUE BLOODS -- A bit square, but there's a lot of meat on the family-dinner plate as police work, big-city politics and multigenerational dynamics combine for an engrossing drama, enhanced by Sellick's star wattage. Our main problem: Why's it buried on Fridays?

OUTLAW -- Guilty by reason of insanity. Every fall there's a tleast one "What were they thinking?" stinker, and despite the charisma Smits brings to any project, this supremely preposterous and preachy legal melodrama wins the booby prize.

SCHOOL PRIDE -- No pilot was available for review, but based on clips, if extra credit can be given to any makeover show for having its heart in the right place, this one goes to the head of the class.
