Hey Gang,
Today is my 25th wedding Anniversary. And to mark said occasion I am enclosing a pix of the gift I picked out for myself.
Hubby said go out and buy yourself anything you want,
( within reason), and I did.
In return for my gift, I purchased season tickets to all the
Browns football games for Bob.
He was very happy with his gift as well.
I can remember 25 years ago when people told us our marriage would not last.
Well its 25 years later, and we love each other more now, then the day we got married.
And we will continue to do so, till as one of the marriage vows dictates, "till death do us part"

I am not saying our marriage is perfect, no one can lay claim to that. If they do, they lie, lol
But as long as we can keep on truck'n I know we are in the minority of
marriages that have stood the test of time.
The biggest problem is being ALONE on my silver wedding anniversary.
So much for the hints to family & friends.
So far I have received only one card & gift card from one BFF
I have yet to have heard from my other BFF
But she is a nurse and is always very busy.
My 3rd BFF called us a week ago.
And told us that on the 24th of July they are taking us down town to enjoy a new comic and our local Comedy club.
Dinner included and it is all their treat. Smile
So that will be awesome.
Since neither hubby or I have ever been to this comedy club.
I am sure we all will have a good time.
And I know it is 10 days after the fact. But as long as it stays in July I am cool with that.
The fact that I am missing my husband like crazy, is what really hurts.
But hey, I am VERY VERY PROUD of him.
As it takes a lot of strength of character to live in a truck bed
With no bathroom facilities at all.
It not easy being a truckers wife.
Its even harder on said trucker.
But he loves the work, and it pays the bills
and a whole lot more. Smile So, I guess I will continue to live with the life & choices I made.
No complaints here, just a bit lonely.
Congrats!

I am currently in a place where most people can't see their spouses for months on end, so I can relate to the sadness about him not being there for the actual anniversary date, but it makes me realise that it's all about the time that you do spend together. And for the both of you it is pretty special Smile

Balloons
Congrats!
Congrats and best of wishes to the happy couple!
Thanks everyone, and I have a mini update!
Hubby has finally seen my "new ring" that I picked out on his "dime" lol
And he just loves it Smile
Sadly for the first time he was the LAST to know about something cool, lol. But he understands it goes with the territory of being a trucker.

MIL took us both out to Red Lobster for a very late lunch.
And she gave us a nice card with $40 inside.
So we got a great meal and some cash, that was super sweet.
And of course we thanked her up & down Smile

Now.Of course my shithead brother never even bothered to send me a frickin card, let alone a gift for his only sister.
Yet when he was married, I had to come up with $ every year to give him and his dipshit wife a card.
But, hey, why dwell on shit in the past.
I am into the future now.. And for the first time in a long time.
I am feeling good.
I guess Marilyn Monroe knew what she was saying when she sung the tune "Diamonds are a girls best friend" Cause mine sure helped to cheer me up, lol Smile
Congrats on making it 25 years, and here's to many more! True, no marriage is perfect, but in the last few years you two have been through many ups and downs and come out the better for it. And it is great you did get to celebrate some - even if a little late.
Congrats!
Thanks mark & Ozark, yep not many couples these days make it to 25 years. So we are proud indeed Smile

Update: We saw this comic at Hilarities by the name of Ralphie May. He was pretty funny. And you can look up his name in You Tube and he has a lot of great bit's on that site.
But anyway, Our friends treated us to a night out. And we had a wonderful time.

July is almost over, and if it was not for my health issues.
I could safely say that we had one hell of an Anniversary month.

Thank you one and all for all the Kudo's. It was totally sweet of you all to say what you said, lol. Smile
