Any Tess Gerritsen fans out there? I love her novels and especially love Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles who are going to have their own TV show.
Sadly, it's only on TNT, which we don't get here but I'm hoping another station will pick it up. However, it's exclusively a TNT show, I don't know if that will happen.
Bummer.

I plan on watching it cause I am a big Angie Harmon fan
I loved her in L&O and was sad when she had left the show.
I am very happy she is working again.
And yes. I am afraid this is a TNT original show. Which means you can't see it, unless its you have TNT.
But there might be hope that a station in your area might pick it up.

with that

DH and I are going to give it a spin, too. I think he won't like it (he's not a fan of police procedurals), but I imagine I will. Also an Angie Harmon fan -- hated losing The Women's Murder Club!!
PG - your husband and mine are of the same mind. DH makes fun of me because I only watch what he dubs "Crime Drama". Oh well.
I hated losing Women's Murder Club as well.
I liked the show, from what I saw of it.
I missed the first 10 min of it due to a storm we had that cut out our Satellite serivce. I keep forgetting to check out TNT to see what I missed. But in general, I got the jest of the show.
And from what i saw, I liked it.
Edit: Damn TNT does not have the first eppy on line yet. Oh well, no big deal

Damn! I'm sure we'll get is soon or later here. It's only a matter of time before CTV picks it up. Maybe in six months or so. I doubt I can watch it online either as there is usually a copyright thing.
My Mom loves the books and she was telling me about the new series. I may have to try to find it online (we don't have cable).
I love the books too.
I'm re-reading "Vanish" right now so I can read the next one "The Mephisto Club".
Love, love, love Tess Gerritsen.
We recorded this and watched last night, finally. They seem awfully obsessed with men and clothing. I like the story, but I don't get all that other stuff. The pressure from the mother to get married, Rizzoli unable to keep people out of her apartment.
Did that young neighbor actually get murdered? Or was it just the ruse they used to lure Rizzoli into the van?
That's what I was worried about. The TV characters would not be the same as the book characters. I think Gerritsen addressed this issue in an interview but I don't remember how she answered to it.
The characters in the book are not beauty queens and couldn't care less about fashion. I know Rizzoli does marry Agent Dean of the FBI. Is she married in the show? She also gets pregnant in the books and is actually a hostage at the hospital she just happened to be at to have her baby.
She's not married or pregnant yet. They only just met in the show. We have no clue yet if the show will marry them as well, or not. Right now they are talking about him a lot. Way too much, in my opinion. I just want them to do the job. I had the same problem with _Cold Case_ and _L&O:SVU_. Way too much personal information.
This weeks eppy was good. And I sort of figured that the guest star was to wind up being the bad guy, lol.
That is sort of typical of how these cop shows go. But I still enjoy them very much

Well, we're not watching this any more. All the nonsense with the sexist stereotypes and interfering parents and silly childish behavior about what happened in grade school is just not entertaining to us.

elsebee I am Sorry You don't like the show anymore.
For me, I try to focus on the main plot which would be solving the case.
So, I still like the show. I think its good, imho of course.
The mother on this show aka Lorraine Bracco starred in "The Sopranos" Not to mention one of my Fav movies. "Goodfellas"
So I have 2 reasons why I will stick with it. As I stated before I like Angie Harmon. So, I am sticking with it.
Unless it gets really dumb, lol.
For me that is, lol.
It's been renewed for a second season so I guess it's doing well. It sounds like the characters are a little off compared to the books but that's to be expected. In order to appeal to a TV audience, your characters have to be good looking and fucked up in some way.
I wonder if a Canadian station will buy it.
This weeks eppy was good once again.
And its always a pleasure to see Mark-Paul Gosselaar again
WHAT A HUNK!!!
And in typical fashion he turns out to be the killer.
But hey, I still enjoy the show.
And I am happy it will come back for another season.

I had to bump this thread as the new season of R&I has been on for a while and I was wondering if I was the only one watching it?
Last nights episode was very good. And I loved what JANE said at the end. I won't say anything more, till I know someone else has seen this?

I loved it... Not last week but the week before last. Jane says,
" I am never getting married and never having kids"
I liked that! At last an adult CF show that I enjoy watching.

Last weeks eppy was kind of dull, But next weeks show looks to be pretty good.
Hey Sharon g did you see the season finale??
It was GREAT!!!! I won't say anything till I know someone saw it too?
FYI 5 more eppys will be aired in NOV.
So, we won't have long to wait to see Jane again, lol.
