I started this thread cause I wanted to share this very unusual story that happened to me yesterday
Plus I really don't think of this as good news.
It was a rather nice experience to meet an honest
Pharmacist.
I went to K-Mart to pick up my refill order for my
Thyroid medication.
I had lucked out that there was no one in line.
Cause at this particular K-Mart the pharmacist that is on duty is also the clerk.
They only hire one person working in their pharmacy at all times. Which is how they can keep their medication prices low.
But anyway, when I told the lady who I was and that I was picking up an order I had called in on the refill line. She found my RX and she looked sort of puzzled.
Then she said "this price is not right".
It was marked $15. I said "well is it more or less".
She said "less", and asked me if I would hold on.
She looked through her computer and found that whoever priced the medication marked it wrong.
The real price should have been $5
(and this is without any health insurance plan)
So, I waited patiently until she fixed the mistake
And then I thanked her up and down and sideways for taking the TIME and effort to save me $10
I know $10 is not a lot of money. But its the thought that counts. And I had asked her her name and she told me her name was Janet. And I thanked her again and said "if they ever fire you or let her go for any reason to come see me."
I was joking of course, as I have no connections. But, I wanted to commend her in some way. But she did not want any fuss, she just said she was doing her job.
I was floored. Cause You don't hear that too often these days. Not in my state anyway. When all I ever run into is idiot cashiers who don't take the time of day to say "Thank you come again", let alone look up a price check on something that should be less then what it is marked for.
So I thought this was a very nice experience I had.
And I thought it was worth sharing.
And if anyone else here has a nice experience with a cashier, store clerk, sales rep, or other.
That they want to share.
Feel free to post it here.
I don't consider this subject to be good news.
I did not win the lotto or anything.
I just saved $10 & had a very nice chat with a nice normal woman who cares about her job and her customers. That is very rare indeed.
