SALT LAKE CITY

A pedestrian who says she was injured by a motorist while following an online walking route has filed a lawsuit claiming Google Inc. supplied unsafe directions.

Lauren Rosenberg is seeking more than $100,000. She claims Google Maps led her to walk on a busy road without sidewalks that was "not reasonably safe for pedestrians."

Good god.

What if she was driving and got into a crash? Would she sue them for leading her to an unsafe roadway?

What a loser.
Did Google map forced her to walk on a busy street against her will? Would it be too complicated to find a nearby side street that wasn't busy? Because she was walking to wherever, it sounds like she lived not too far away, If she lives in the area, doesn't she know what streets are busy streets? Like NKB said: What a loser.
How in the living hell is this the fault of google? I can look at a roadway and decide if it's appropriate to walk on it or not. If the road doesn't have a sidewalk then maybe it wasn't meant for pedestrians.
Bite me.
I remember when Yahoo was doing maps and I read about an account of someone using it for directions. The instructions included a bridge. The problem was that the bridge was built before the Civil War and there was actually a tree growing through the middle of the road-deck which had collapsed decades earlier.
