I got an email message this morning that I thought was very nice. It's a woman that I write to and she lives in PA. We were on another discussion board and that's how we met.

Quote:Hi Tom,

I'm sure your sister is having trouble keeping up with her two kids. I had trouble keeping up with mine when I was in my twenties. I can think of several people who had kids only to regret it. That's why I praise people who know they don't want kids and refuse to let anyone sway them. Like I told you, my kids don't seem to have any desire to become parents. And I can respect that. I know that I'm not going to volunteer to raise anymore kids. I have no intentions of quitting my job to stay home with my grand kids.
That will never happen. I love my freedom.
Too bad she had to learn the hard way.

You know, if one guy sees another guy pissing on the third rail in the subway, and the first guy dies, does the second guy have to also piss on the live third rail, or can he learn from the first fool's mistake?

Tommy: I thought it was very sweet of this woman to write you and open up to you about her life. I know she has kids, and that is a shame. But as eslbee said, at least she learned the hard way
but she did learn. So you got to give her credit for that.
And for her to applaud us, for knowing ahead of time not to want kids. As far as I am concerned that gets big brownie points in my book. Cause not many moo's understand "us" like that Smile
So kudos to her Clap
