I know some of you are near me...in the Kansas area.

Does anyone want a cat? This is urgent. I'm moving in 1-2 weeks, and someone dumped this poor baby in my neigborhood. He found me on my front porch and when I tried to go inside barged into my house and found the cat food. He was starving! Now he won't leave (I tried putting him out thinking he belonged to someone and he darts back in the door every time I try to go outside). I cannot keep him myself because I'm only allowed one pet right now in my new place, I already paid the $150 deposit. Not to mention this new "stranger" has really upset my kitty, despite the fact the newbie is in a separate room. My cat is a "one person, one cat" type and very easily upset.

The no-kill shelters are full and I'm trying to contact another foster-type humane society, because I simply WILL NOT leave him at a regular shelter to possibly be euthanised.

He's a young adult male, brown and white tabby. SUPER affectionate.

If anyone here would be able to take him, or know someone who would...please let me know!
Awwwwww I feel so bad for you and your little visitor.Hug I wish I could take him off your hands. But, I live too far away from you.
And I don't think Boots would act too kindly around a new cat either. So I feel your pain Hug
I hope you can find him a new home soon. Goodluck
(((( )))))
Keep trying for no-kill shelters. My little Siamese is an only too. Or post an ad at the local laundromat or bulletin boards at grocery stores.
Thanks guys.....

Yeah Ozark, something about our crazy Orientals...they're SO TOUCHY... lol

I actually got lucky and I think Riley County Humane Society is going to take him. They work strictly on a foster home network. The lady emailed me and I'm waiting for her to call me back. Wish us luck! I'm just glad this poor guy is off the street!!! He is pretty skinny and had some "war wounds" on his wittle head Sad
I realise this isn't ideal, but if you can't find him a home... take him to your new place and keep him inside for a week or so in order for him to readjust to where 'home' is. Then get him a shelter for outside (covered box with a blanket), and a water dish and food dish, and make him an outdoor cat until you can find him a new permanent home. That way they can't complain about you having two cats in the home, and he won't be bothering your resident cat.

Orientals don't like other types of cats - all the ones at our shelter have to be adopted out specially.
Well I got lucky! The lady at Riley County who fosters kitties will be taking him tomorrow!! Smile I'm so happy, he will get a good home through them.

Ziggy - I was going to keep him until I found a place to take him. He just would NOT stay outside...he literally was fighting to get into my house HERE, that's what made me think someone dumped the poor guy Sad He was so comfortable once he got in the house. He's doing good in my spare room now. lol

I think my cat is still mad at me. Cobalt has been hiding since our guest has been here. He came out late last night and briefly when I got up this morning, but he's gone again...really unusual for him. But all will be back to normal hopefully after our guest goes to his foster home tomorrow! Smile
