I've only just begun reading it, but I figured it might be of interest to my board-buds here. Wink

As usual, I agree with everything Paul Ehrlich says.
I agree with all of them!
Great link Bittercat lots of good reading at that site. Did you also read this?

No, I haven't yet. I also didn't get all the way through the comments to the original article. Most everyone, it seems, was in agreement, though.

(I do all this kind of stuff from work, so I get interrupted.)

Thanks for posting this! Off to read the article...
It is my sincere hope that this topic becomes more and more OK to discuss in public, because it is so important.

I feel it is VERY important to control population growth, but the HOW is always the big question. Being pro-choice, I don't believe in forbidding people from doing what they want with their bodies; however, I have no problem helping to promote the message that big families are just---EW! Wink (My apologies to anyone on this board who is from a large family. My step family is quite large, BUT my siblings all have four children or less, so...)

I agree - my perspective is more about having a big family IF you can take care of them and not rely on welfare. Although it is not environmentally friendly, I wish everyone would think before pro-creating and we could reduce accidental and unwanted pregnancies as well. Just by doing that and making the CF option more known perhaps we could make an impact by that alone, even if there are still large families. Most everyone I know who has 3 kids or more, at least 1 of them were accidental - including hubby!

I don't understand how people can turn a blind eye to the population issue. But then again... we are talking about breeders aren't we?
