If anyone would like to get a postcard from my sunny temporary location, please PM me with your address. The postcards are cheap and I have access to free postage (to Canada, the US, UK, and likely Australia) so I'm happy to send out mail. I know that postcards have been popular in the past, and it's easy for me to do. It's open to anyone and everyone, new and long-time members, provided that you're interested.

If there is interest in a larger postcard exchange then feel free to reply in this thread. I can't participate (I am currently homeless) but I'd be happy to organise.
I'd love a postcard! I think the exchange is usually in the summer but we can do it now if people are up for it - I'm in!

Voting now or waiting till summer.. I will hold my vote till other peeps reply.

ITMT Ziggy I too would love a cool Postcard as I do have quite a few already collected.
I will PM you soon.
A spring post card exchange sounds nice to me!
I just got my 2 postcards today Ziggy. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Smile
Dubai looks so pretty. Although I have no idea where it is? LOL
It is still very pretty.
I hope they appreciate your sacrifice. Your one brave cookie Ziggy, and I could NEVER EVER live like you do. But Kudos to you, you deserve it. Clap Thumbsup
And many thanks once again for the PC's Smile
I'm glad you liked them! Dubai is in the United Arab Emirates - it has the tallest building in the world, the biggest shopping mall, and the most awful spending of money you could ever imagine. I'm not a huge fan, but it is a travel hub. Almost all flights that pass through the middle east go through there.

The cards took some time to get out to everyone (I put them in the mail a couple weeks ago, but these things take time to process) - hopefully those who requested them will get them soon!
Did you say "worlds biggest shopping mall"? Where do I sign up? LOL Just kidding. In as much as I love to shop. I am in no rush at all to leave my home for any reason, unless I had to. Smile

Thanks for the reply to my PM Ziggy. I am happy to hear that your safety is not an issue.
GO TROOPS! Smile
Got your postcard! Thanks so much.

T
Thank you, Ziggy! I got mine, too! Smile
The ones from here are a bit unconventional so I wasn't sure if people would like them, but at least there are two so you can choose to only enjoy the Dubai landscape if you prefer it Smile

I'm glad to hear they finally arrived!
I just got mine today!
Thanks.
Got my second one yesterday. I wasn't expecting two! Dubai is stunning. DH and I saw a documentary on the construction of the Burj Al Ara hotel. Quite an undertaking.

It's the only hotel in the world that is rating higher than five stars - the maximum for a hotel.

WOW I can't imagine how much it would cost to stay there!
But ITA it looks beautiful. I wonder what the inside looks like? lol
I wonder if it is as posh as Trump Towers is in Vegas? Smile
NKB: When the cards are cheap and the postage free... why not? Smile I'm glad you liked them.

TW: You can find photos online. I think it costs thousands of dollars a night to stay there. I've heard that valet parking is $50, and the whole place is by far the most lavish place ever but none of us will ever be able to afford it.
Thanks for postcard numero deux!
Hooray! Got my two groovy postcards! Thanks Ziggy!
Good to hear Anastasia!

I had completely meant to let you know two weeks ago that I had sent them off (it took me slightly longer than expected because I was sick for the previous week and couldn't get to the post office) but I left on vacation and apparently my mind went blank. Plus I swear the illness had kidnapped half my brain!

I'm glad that everyone seems to have received theirs, and I hope that they are enjoyed!
Glad to hear you've recovered from your illness!
