My old can opener died. I was very fond of it. But it only lasted a year.
So with that in mind I wanted to buy a new can opener that had possibilities of lasting longer then a year. And with me at this time in my life, money was no object.
So I spurged and bought me a Cuisinart can opener.
Let me tell you this thing is a dream.
Easy to use, and the part that always gets filthy from the cans is dishwasher safe. Its stainless steel, and all the parts are metal. Not cheap plastic that can fall apart in a years time.
Not to mention it has a 3 year Warranty, plus it is so easy to use.
One touch and it opens on its own. You don't have to hold the handle down, it opens it on its own, I LOVE IT!

I cannot work an old fashioned hand held can opener, due to the fact of my bad hand. I have no strength in it to hold it let alone open anything with one of those things.
So I need to have an electric can opener in my life.

So if your ever in the market for a new electric can opener I highly
reccommend a "Cuisinart"
I might have to try one of these. My old swing-a-way hand opener just got too much stuff (even tho' it was dishwashered frequently) and bit the dust. I tried two different ones from dollar general and both suck! A no one in this one horse town carries swing-a-way! Piffle!
ozarkmoon, I never heard of a swing-a-way?
I am sorry yours bit the dust Hug
But just a friendly reminder the Cuisinart is NOT cheap.
You won't find it at any dollar store. Sears did not even have it.
I found this model at a specialized Kitchen outlet store in one of our suburb's outlet malls. And I got it on sale too.

But here is the link to the exact model I got.
Just in case you are really interested Smile
