Okay, who did it??? Who do I blame for this???

Someone mentioned Lush bath products in a post somewhere here, and I took leave of my senses one night and ordered a bunch of bath bombs and bath melts.

I just got out of the most DECADENT bath I think I've ever had. My skin feels AMAZING. Just so soft, I am speechless. I used only half of the little one... it was called "Creamy Candy" and kind of smells like Cream soda or maybe almonds. A titch on the sweet side, but HELL I don't care. I also bought the "Figs and Leaves" soap, and used that on my face, and it was amazing too.

So damn whoever did this! This is one HELL of an expensive habit I think I've just developed!!! LOL

PS Thanks, because I was racking my brain trying to think of a nice gift for a friend of mine with a clawfoot tub IN HER BEDROOM (they just redid the floors, and she loves her evening bath so much, she put it up there). I bought a whole box of stuff from lush.ca, so I'm going to give her a few. What a nice gift!!
It wasn't me but hell, I'll take credit for it.

PrairieGirl

I know I was one of the several who mentioned it! Should I duck? You can throw a bath bomb at me!!! HA HA!

I just got out of a bath bomb bath of Blackberry Something-er-other. I smell heavenly!

Yes, the products are amazing! Except for the bath bombs, I cut slices of the other items to make them last. I even cut the bars of soap into slices, because my experience with the samples is that the samples melt away faster than regular soap, so I work with a small piece at a time. AND that allows me to switch scents, rather than worry about having already unwrapped one, and I should finish that before opening another one, etc. (Nagging at myself!!)

The other day I had a bath with a Sex Bomb bath bomb, then I soaped up with the Gratuitous Violets. I smelled so heavenly that DH kept hugging me so he could cop a sniff.

BTW, I got him the "New" shampoo because it was advertised as rejuvenating tired follicles. Dh has a bald spot. And he is actually growing a bit of hair in! He'll never get it all back -- one look at his dad and you see it's genetic -- but he's getting some, so it's less of a beacon of shininess now! I guess it's rejuvenating the follicles that were stressed by chemical-laden shampoos.

ROFLMAO! Okay, here are your choices... I got Champagne Supernova, Butterfly and the heart shaped one with the roses in it. Oh, and the Cherry Blossom one too. I am going to give my friend the Heart shaped one and champagne supernova. They bothe have confetti in them, and I'm a bit freaked out by stuff floating in the tub. LOL I read you can put them in a nylon though.

That Creamy Candy is just TO DIE FOR. Seriously. I can't stop raving about it. I just got off the phone with my sister where I sounded like some kind of cult member. LOL Turns out there is a Lush store in Square One in Mississauga which is not too far from here at all. Looks like a road trip down the pipe!
I LOVE Lush! I have a Lush store in the local mall, so I get my fix whenever I want. I'm not big into the bath stuff only because at 5'10", I can't get too comfy in a bathtub. I do however have an obsession with American Cream conditioner. It smells like a vanilla-strawberry milkshake! I also use the solid shampoos (cinnamon at the moment), Imperialis moisturizer for my face, Lemony Flutter for my feet and hands, Ultra Bland for makeup removal, Tea Tree Toner for my face, alllll the shower gels... the list goes on! I'm a bit of a fanatic. Smile

PrairieGirl

I love that Lemony Flutter! I also tried two lip balms, but the weird thing is they smell odd for the first "layer" or so, then they smell good.

I'm jealous of those of you with a store near you. I hear they are generous with free samples.
Oooohhh! Looky here:

[ETA tried three times the link won't work] Go to Ebay and look for Item number: 370050479302

It's a HUGE lot of over 50 Lush samples.

Damn. Bidding is up to $38 and shipping is $16. But it's probably still cheaper than the store! LOL

PrairieGirl

Well, not all things Lush are a hit with me. I just tried a sample of Trichomania bar shampoo, but it stripped my hair. ICK! I had to put on double the conditioner, and it still feels stripped.
I tried Skin Drink and I stopped using it because it made my face too oily. Then I switched to Ultralight it was to oily, but made my skin dry as well. I want to try Imperialis or Celestial, I just want to get the right one next time. Ah, third time is a charm.

I have a solid shampoo, Karma Komber. I really like it, I find it better than all bottled shampoo that I've used. There are lot more things that I want to try. If I lived near a Lush store I would probably spend more money there. Their soaps are expensive, but they are the best that I ever tried. Figs and Leaves is is my fave so far.
Well once again, I took leave of my senses, and drove with my sis and mom to the nearest Lush store (about 40 minutes from here). YAY! It was soooooo decadent. But yeah, a bit overwhelming with the wall of smell when you walk in. My poor mother put her hand over her face and had to get the hell out of there. LOL

I wanted my sister to see some of what they had, plus replenish what I'd given away as gifts.

They were not very free and easy with the samples, although the girl who was helping me did give me a hand massage with Ocean something or other mixed with Lemon Flutter. That lemon flutter was NICE! And I asked for and got a serving of "Curly Wurly" shampoo. I tried it this morning, and it was nice!

I bought a few more bubble bars and the "Jungle" conditioner. DAMN I love that conditioner. My hair is just awesome today. I'm loving it.

I used a chunk of "karma" and a chunk of "Floating Island" bubble bars in the bath, and it really was amazing. Washed my face with the Figs soap and used the patchouli deoderant they have. I kind of smell like a fig wrapped in vanilla dunked in patchouli. LOL
Jo, that ocean stuff is 'Ocean Salt' a fantastic exfoliant for hands, feet, face. It smells like a margarita!

PrairieGirl

I just made a $60 (before shipping) LUSH order. And in a minute, I'm going to slide into a LUSH bath -- I can't decide between the Sex Bomb, or the French Kiss bubble bar.
Well. I used up all my Lush. DAMN! All that is left is the chocolate half of a choco-vanilla bubble bar that is too disturbing to bathe in, as it doesn't dissolve properly, and I don't care who you are, brown chunks floating in your bath is NOT AT ALL relaxing. LOL

But every other thing was PURE magic. Seriously. I might have to go down there this weekend and buy more. Either that or mail order. LOL

ROFL!!! That's a hilarious mental picture.

ROFLMAO Yeah, I was rather mortified myself!!! Also, the cram a sugar cube (or what appears to be a sugar cube) into that bubble bar (Ma Bar) and that kind of freaks me the hell out too. LOL

But I'm madly in love with their bath melts. And that butterball bath bomb. That thing, is literally, tha bomb. LOL

PrairieGirl

Yeah, not everything from LUSH is amazing. I couldn't do the "I could coco" bath, with the pieces of coconut in it. Blech!

I did buy a shower jelly this time around, to see what it's like. I haven't tried it yet.
Well my sister hooked me up with a $100 Lush gift card for my birthday (I won't be around on my birthday, so it came early this year!!!) I have tried SO MANY of the products, and I certainly know what I love and what I don't now!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE

Curly Wurly shampoo
Butterball bath bombs
Creamy Candy and mango bath melts
Floating Island
Karma Bubble Bar
and ... AVOBATH... omg that was DREAMY!

PrairieGirl

I'm burning with jealousy, Jo! $100!!!! WOW!
I know, it's pretty decadent. It's enough to sort of get one of everything you like, and then a few new ones to try.

But that's about it. LOL I wouldn't have bought Curly Wurly otherwise, as it's nearly $20!!!

I just tried that Avobath and I'm madly in love with it!! I want more!! LOL
I've been a long time Lush fan as well.

If you like the smell of Ma Bar, you'll love Honey I Washed The Kids soap and Soft Coer massage bar ! The massage bar can be used lightly as a moisturizer so don't be put off by them as simply a massage item.

My all time favorite body cream from them is Sympathy for the Skin. Great consistency and great scent !

I do a lot of e-tailer ordering as well. If you like Lush, you will likely LOVE some of the e-tailers out there ! The products are handmade and the scent lists are pages long with a WIDE range of products. Let me know if you want some links !
