Just wondering if anyone has one and if you enjoy using it. I'm hesitant to spend money on a device that will just end up collecting dust after awhile.
We just got one yesterday so I haven't tried it out. But I'll let you know when I do.
I'd love to hear your review.
I'm wondering how "complete" it is - like do you have to keep purchasing more and more modules or does it come with a lot of things you'd want/need?
That's what I was thinking Cats. Do you constantly have to upgrade?
I have one! We got it for ourselves for Christmas, and I just hooked it up tonight. It's kind of embarassing to have it do your body test, but then there are so many games. In one of them, your Mii dresses up in a penguin suit and BJ was ROFLHAO. If you already have Wii, adding it is very easy. Then you have the new DVD in there, and it just walks you through. I played with it for a while and I really enjoyed it, and I'm thinking about going back out and doing it again.

I also finally got the nunchuk hooked up so I can box on the original Wii Sports. Now there's a serious workout. I use the Wii Sports almost every day, because it's a video game. I love games and so it will probably work for me. If you aren't into video games, I don't know. But it's a lot better than dresing up (in a bra) driving to a gym, changing clothes, changing back, and interacting with people. I'm clinically obese, and a lot of gym people frown on that for some reason. This is obviously private.

The only problem I see is pulling it out and putting it back all the time. You can't leave it in the middle of the floor; it has to go someplace, and I am one lazy slug.
I bought the original Wii Fit last year and used it to start getting active again. I was able to do it every day for a few months and I did lose a lot of weight. (I also ate better) After a while, the activities got too easy and I had to find other things to do, but as a fun workout in your house, I would recommend it.

I have bought the new one and found the additional games to be pretty good too. I haven't gotten back to using it every day yet, but I do like it.
So far I have used it at least half an hour every day. Some of the games are totally hilarious. Pulling it out and putting it away hasn't proved as daunting as I thought. Maybe if I worked full time, though, I wouldn't do it.
The nice thing about WiiFit is the balance board itself. Nintendo is now coming out with more and more games that are balance board compatible, so it can add a new level of interactive play to your game-playing.

I have the WiiFit, and I'll be honest, I barely use it. But I also barely use my Wii, period. I do enjoy it when I think to pull it out to play. I love the WiiFit game with the little mii in the penguin suit where you have to slide back and forth on the ice and catch fish. (It's one of the balance games.) I'm planning to pick up the newer one too since it retails for around $20 and I can probably find it used now for less.

I have a couple of friends at work (one is in her late 20's, the other is in her 50's) who both have WiiFit and love it and use it a couple of times a week.

Well, I have used it for five days now, 30 or more minutes a day. BJ has used it for three days, at about ten minutes a pop.

I really have fun with it. I spend much less time playing games on the computer. By "have fun" I don't mean I'm any good. In fact, I suck! But I'm not quitting. It's very reinforcing.
Just wanted to bump this to say we've been using this almost constantly for a month, and when I saw they had curling, I bought a winter sports package, too.
Good to know. I'm still debating on whether or not to get one.
Bumping this up to say I've lost eight pounds on this little bugger, something that never would have happened otherwise. And it's so much fun for a fat 57-year old to go snowboarding safely in Florida!

Ok, so how much do one of these gizmo's cost?? Just curious?
And is it hard to install on an older TV?

Clap Kudos to you eslbee for losing 8 pounds. Smile WTG Keep up the good work! Thumbsup
I think the Wii Fit + package was, at that time, $100 or so. A friend installed the original Wii, but I installed this thing myself. Our TV is left over from the last century. I bet it's easier than a new one.
DH (Dessi) just got us a Wii. It's really fun. Does anyone have game recommendations? Or un-recommendations? I have no interest in the shooting, carjacking, exploding type games. I would like to get the Fit add on. Is that yoga?
Yes, Fit has Yoga, but they may have soma all-yoga programs as well.
I have a Wii Fit and when I was using it I LOVED it. Sadly, I haven't used it in months.
Well, the Wii is being used, but I am using it to stream Netflix movies, not for the work-out.

Shame on me.

(This thread will motivate me to start using my Wii fit again!)
OK, now I understand the difference. We got both. Love it! So much fun. Yeah, it's not too intense of a workout, but I'm being active at a time when I would normally be sitting and reading/watching TV.
I love rhythm kung fu and boxing, and the hula hooping, and cycling around the island with my Sasha cat beside me.
I have terrible rhythm and coordination, so maybe this will help with those. You should see me doing the step aerobics and rhythm marching band. Oh so bad!
