I am so tired of changes and lack of structure at work, I could scream. I was out sick Tues. and Wed. of Christmas week. When I return to work on the 28th, the boss has moved my work station to a new location. That would have been okay, but she took away 3 of my file holders, all of my class folders and goddess only knows where they are. She did not like the way I had things organized and never gave me a chance to sort through or change things, she just did it all while I was gone. This is not the first time, but it is the most severe that it has been done. I do not even have a piece of scratch paper or phone books at my desk now. I guess I will need to transfer callers needing phone numbers to her or the full-time girl, since they are allowed to have phone books at their desks.
The really sad thing is, no one else does these classes nor needs access to them. I had tons of notes and ideas for new classes or proposals on my computer, and the boss went through my entire computer files, moved all the items in question to a common folder everyone has access to and then wiped the files *OFF* my computer entirely. Well, wasn't that special. I now have not one clue where anything is, from the basic 'office closed' sign format I use, to any class notes or tests. Sad thing was, I had put everything I had on my computer onto the common folders, but just felt more comfortable having them on mine too for easy access.
So what did I do all last week? Twiddle my thumbs for 3 days. I had planned on sorting through the folders and organizing more class info on those 3 days, knowing it would be slow and we had no appointments. I was also prepared for a Monday morning meeting on the 28th, which never did happen. So I got all my inventories of supplies for classes and notes on upcoming classes proposed for a meeting this morning (we are to have one every single Monday). Did we have a meeting this morning? Nope. She started one at 11:45 a.m. knowing I am off duty at noon. As it kept dragging on and the topic was the classes I am to teach, but the full-time girl kept jumping in and asking questions as if she had anything at all to do with it (she refuses to teach ANY classes), I finally gave up and told the boss I had an appointment. That is 45 minutes of my time wasted and lord only knows what was decided when I left.
It is just ridiculous. All this new crap and classes to teach that are tied to the Stimulus monies, but nothing in concrete, no class guidelines or required info to be covered; just the 'thou must hold classes every week on topics a, b and c'. It is all such bullshit and these programs dry up come Sept. 10. They have hired over a dozen new people and not one dime of the Stimulus has gone to actually help poor people yet. I am just so frustrated by it all, it was all I could do to keep my mouth shut last week and not just gather up my personal belongings and leave!
