I normally never post in the cooking section. Cause I am not a cook.
But hubby is. And he came up with this recipe on line cause he had some Hillshire farms sausage links and he wanted to do something different with them for the holidays.
So here is this recipe that is out of this world.
imho of course. ( I know too late for the holidays but better late then never, and this makes a great little birthday or office party appetizer
1. Package of Hillshire farms sausage links or any sort of coctail weenies
that you like.
2. I pound of Sugardale low sodium bacon
3. ½ cup of brown sugar. If diabetic Splenda makes sugar free Brown sugar
4.one package of wooden tooth picks
That is all you need.
Pre heat oven to 350º Cut one pound of bacon into 3rds
Wrap each weenie with a slice of bacon and stick a tooth pick in it to hole it together.
Place them all on a cookie sheet. And when all the weenies are wrapped take the ½ cup of brown sugar and sprinkle it all over the weenies
Place cookie sheet in the oven, & Bake for 40 min. And you have yourself's a taste treat that is heaven (imho) lol
Enjoy
