I don't blame you, Eslbee! The only one I would take would be my camera! (If and where it's allowed.)

Jen
i self imposed my own flying boycott years ago.

i dont like hight heights. and the cattle mentality at airports is pitiful.

what if the shoe bomber was a rectum bomber....

if someone wanted to take down an airliner it would be rather easy from the ground.

ihave no desire to travel to foreign countries...americans have targets on their backs in foreign countries. thats not for me

i love to drive whereever we go, so if i dont like it, i can leave.
when we take big road trips such as montana we take our camper anyways.

LOL.

I recall seeing a news story a long time ago (I think I was a teenager then, and my parents were news junkies) about super-tight security measures at some airport in the Middle East because of the threat of taking a plane down, and commentators on TV and people in real life were saying that we're so lucky that we don't to have to go through that bullshit to fly anywhere. All you had to do is go to the airport, buy or show your ticket, get a boarding pass and get on the plane. Now, we have the same security measures as those "crazy" places that we found outrageous and too militant.
