Isn't this a creepy reality check????
Wow this is so true!!! Such good points. I never understood why people go for the love at first site crap, based on looks alone.
I find it SAD that articles like this have to be written in the first place.
Where are the parents to teach these young women the difference between the good guys and the bad guys?
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRAngryfire

And as for love at first site, it worked for my hubby with me.
The minute he saw me he knew he wanted me and we have been together for 24½ years! So don't knock it till you tried it, lol Smile
I wasn't knocking it but you can't tell me that all marriages based on looks make it. That was my point. It's not exactly the norm. I would not suggest to anyone that you should believe that that is THE way to land your "Mr. Perfect". I do not believe in LOVE at first site. How can you love someone you know NOTHING about. It's LUST at first site, then it happens to turn into love.
My husband and I are a love at first sight couple as well as high school sweethearts. I think the love at first sight thing kinda goes beyond looks. Like everyone else, I've looked at guys and thought they're totally hot, but with my husband it was kinda different. The hotness factor was there, but its almost like he had this aura around him. I know it sounds totally crazy, but its like I knew our personalities would be perfect together and was drawn to him, and beyond just a superficial level. Of course, our relationship grew from there and has developed into an even deeper love, but that's just my experience.
That was a very poorly written article. It jumped around all over the place. It appears that the author changed her mind about 5 times in mid-stream regarding the topic.
The cutesy jargon was a bit much, but she makes some very good points.

I agree with TW, too: It's really sad that we NEED articles like this and that people aren't raising their daughters to respect themselves and put more value on character traits.
