Hello everyone! I know i have been rather silent the last few months. I have had a LOT going on in my life and just found that i needed to back off of everything and breathe. Most of the things have come and past. Now i will be heading to Disneyland tomorrow and will be back late Wednesday. Me and about 12 friends are all going down to Disneyland to have a bunch of fun together. I will be getting up at around 3 or 4 AM tomorrow to drive down with some of my friend and we will meet up with the rest of the group at some point and time and just have one helluva good time!
When i return i will let ya all know how everything went and hopefully i will be a more active member of this community. I've missed you all and hope everyone is well!
Take care
-Joe
have fun
Nice to hear from you.
Have a fun trip! It sounds like a good opportunity to unwind and reconnect with friends. Let us know how it goes!
Have fun! I've been wondering how you have been doing and where you have been. Good to see you back!
Sounds great, but Disneyland would be far more fun without all those pesky kids around!

The best time to visit Disney is mid-February. No holidays, no spring break, and no kids. It's their slow time so you barely wait a few minutes to go on the rides.

Unfortunately, that wasn't true when we went to Disneyworld & EPCOT in Florida one mid-Feb a few years ago. It was Mardi Gras time so we fled New Orleans and decided to drive to Disney (the first visit for both of us), and it was absolutely PACKED with kids, yes on a Tuesday and Wednesday. I overheard more than one parent talking about having fled Louisiana for Mardi Gras, pulling the kids out of school, etc. The wait time for one ride we went on was 75 minutes, and we waited every minute of it. The restaurants were packed. It was truly a nightmare.
I LOVE Disneyland! Although I have to say, I miss a lot of the rides that they have removed over the years.
DH and I were there last week (Thursday the 19th-early B'day celebration). It was heaven. No lines, cooler weather, little traffic on the freeway. We could have gone on my B'day and I would have gotten free admission, but it just didn't work out.
We only went for 1/2 the day and we stayed to watch the parade and the fireworks. We ended up going on about 14 rides and also watched the riverboat show, The Princess and the Frog-very cute!
Hope you had a blast Arkved!!!
Hey everyone, I am back from my Disney vacation and WOW, what a vacation it was. I went down with the hopes of having a good time with friends, and ended up having a FANTASTIC time and the kicker...I ended up with a girlfriend
A girl i have been talking to online for over a year, who i considered to be one of my dearest friends flew down from Seattle, to go with all of us to Disney. We had played with the idea of dating, but hadnt taken it to the next level. Well i guess it just took some Disney magic, and now i couldn't be happier
The room we stayed in was amazing. I got a four bedroom presidential suite for my friends and I to stay in, and it was lovely. amazing view of Disneyland from the 13th floor. The lines were actually pretty long part of the time we were there. The longest wait time i did was 55 minutes for Soarin over California. Other than that, i think we averaged about a 30 minute wait time which wasnt too bad. I rode haunted mansion, pirates of the caribbean, space mountain twice, indiana jones, tower of terror, soarin over california, and got on california screamin' twice as well(love that coaster).
We ate at Blue Bayou one night with the entire group(10 of us total met up down there), then the other meals were either at smaller places in the park or over on Garden Walk like California Pizza Kitchen, or Cheesecake Factory etc.
I am looking forward to going next year. We are trying to make this a yearly event, and for the last 2 years it has been a blast. I will put the word out here when i have a time set and see if anyone wants to meet up from the list. THAT would be awesome.
And yes, for those that are wondering, my GF is CF as well. We are actually eerily similar in all most every way, rofl.
Take care everyone,
Joe
