We were trying to keep it a secret so it could be a big surprise, but we've done a terrible job of keeping it under wraps so we have decided to go ahead and share the great news: Jason and I are getting remarried in Las Vegas in two weeks, and it's going to be an Elvis wedding!
When we first got married 12 years ago, we toyed with the idea of eloping in Vegas because we just wanted to start a life together and didn't really care that much about the wedding itself. We ended up doing a very simple, traditional church wedding, mostly because we wanted our families there. Over the years we talked about renewing our vows in Vegas, but never did. Now that we have the unique opportunity of having a second wedding, we decided to do it our way this time around. So, Elvis it is!
Needless to say, I'll be spamming the web with pictures and hopefully video afterward.
Sounds wonderful. It's always nice to be able to do things your way and not worry about pleasing other people.
Congratulations and I can't wait to see the photos.
Congrats! I'm glad things worked out for you two!
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to see pictures - please share them with us! I have always thought Vegas would be a great place to get married. It's totally out of character for me but there's something about the kitchy-ness that I love!
I toyed with the idea of a Vegas-Elvis wedding, too. Either that or a St Louis Cemetery wedding on Halloween in New Orleans. Alas, neither came true. I could have done the cemetery wedding but DH proposed in November and we were moving from New Orleans to Maine in June of the next year, so there were no more Halloweens left for us in New Orleans. I didn't want to move and then get married in a brand new town with no friends and no contacts for stuff like a great wedding cake, so we did a paddlewheel boat wedding on the Mississippi River.
I look forward you to seeing your Elvis wedding photos!
I LOVE IT!!!! Your description brought tears to my eyes - I must be sentimental today. It sounds perfect. Really fun! Congratulations to both of you - your pictures are terrific - you look radiant. Beautiful dress - you look great in it.
I'm so happy for you!
Mazel tov! May you have many Elvis renewals of vows!
Beautiful.
And I love the picture 4th down. Such a cute look.
Congrats!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding pics with us!
You look so happy.......
Congratulations WW!

That's awesome! Congrats on the fun time and making decisions that gave you perfect memories.
I LOVE the glasses! LOL you should have gotten the ones with the glued on sideburns.

Those would have been pretty funny! These actually came with the wedding package that we bought (the "Hound Dog Special") and Elvis gave them to us to wear during the special Elvis vows. He told Jason to "look deeply into your wife's glasses." I laughed through the whole thing, it was so awesomely silly. We're going to display them on top of a bookcase right next to our wedding pictures.
Could you pick the songs? I always loved "I can't help falling in love with you" and thought it would make a nice wedding song.
The video is up!

That's actually the second song he sang, I got the title of it wrong. I probably could have requested specific songs, but I didn't ask. The only deviation from the standard package I requested was a bouquet of daisies instead of roses, for everything else I figured they had the whole thing down to a science and it'd be best to just let Elvis do whatever he normally did.
That's an awesome wedding. A hell of a lot more fun than some rigid church ceremony. The looks on your faces show that you're definitely enjoying it.
How fun!! Congratulations!
My husband, also named Jason, and I have been married for 5 years and we had a very nice traditional wedding too. But we have always talked about getting our vows renewed in Vegas. But instead of Elvis, you can get married by the Grim Reaper! So we may do that one of these days.
