Davros and I got a new ferret yesterday! He's tiny and full of tremendous energy, he never stops. Our older three aren't sure what to think of him but he has held his own in the few scraps that have come up so far. We need to work on some litter box skills and stop an adorable toe biting habit that won't be so cute when he is older.
I'll try and take some better pictures of him later, but an awake baby ferret is less interested in the camera and more interested in EVERYTHING ELSE.
Oh and his name is Morbo the Annihilator.

Giant paws.... I think this ferret is going to be a big boy!
He's so cute! Congrats on the new family.
I have the same problem with young kittens and cameras... I have had a few people comment that I only ever seem to have photos of them when they are eating and sleeping. Guess why?! That's the only time that they are still enough to not end up as a giant blur!
He looks so sweet! Congrats on the new addition!!
Congrats & Hugs

to all.
It takes a special Pet mom to adopt the not so typical Dog or Cat.
type pet.

I know nothing about Ferrets.
But as long as your happy with them that is all that matters
Kudos to you

Ferrets are like cats for care (they can be litter trained and taught the basics) but like kittens on crack when it comes to energy. They are wonderful pets if you have the energy (I travel so 2 cats are perfect for me).
Oh, and your toe biting comment reminds me... I was fostering a kitten (P) but only a few days earlier my friend had taken in the kitten as she wanted to adopt her (they're still happily together). The boyfriend (now DH) was not too familiar with kittens but was happily playing with P by laying on the couch and waving his socked toes while P was crouched on the arm of the couch. You can probably see where this is going... My friend told her BF not to do that as you don't want to encourage kittens to bite toes and the response was "Oh, it's fine, she's soooo cuuuuuute!" All was fine until after dinner we were chatting in the kitchen and he was back on the couch and suddenly he had the most aweful scream. My friend just yelled out "Told you so!" from the other room and that was the end of that 'game'.
