Eslbee, I remember you posts about the hotel nightmares during your travels! It's nice to see articles like this and have adults only options discussed more and more. The article and comments were good because I didn't read a single "bingo".
When I go on vacation, I usually plan it around the end of September and/or early October. Well, I just came back from my trip to South Dakota. I went from October 4th to the 10th.
My main reason for planning vacations at that time is because I feel assured that there will not be a lot of kids around wherever I go. Sure enough on this trip, there were no kids at all.
One day I took a bus tour on Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. Almost all of the people on the bus were elderly. I may have been the youngest one on the bus except that there was a daughter of a couple. The daughter appeared to be in her late 20's or 30's. IT WAS GREAT!!!
There were no kids in sight at where I stayed, also. It was so nice and peaceful. I'm sure there would have been a ton of kids at that place if I had gone there during the summer months.
