This could belong here or in the work section -- sorry! My desk is located directly across the hall from an "open" style office (no walls) where two of the ladies there are pregnant. That's fine. I can deal... till the past week... every conversation going on over across the hall can be overheard by my office, and it's 100 percent pregnancy and babies.. and labour.. and delivery... and morning sickness... you get the drift. Oh and bonus, last Thursday was the baby shower... all they did all day was unwrap gifts from other breeders. The thing is, even when they stop talking about brats, somebody will walk by and start asking how the mooos to be are, and that starts it all over again.

It's bad enough that I love my employer, but don't like this job, and then to hear that, non-stop, all day.... it's enough to drive you batshit crazy.
My sympathies, Rant. It's awful when you are stuck listening to that drivel.
I started wearing headphones a few weeks ago and would highly recommend doing the same if you can!

If not, then for your sake I hope that they go on maternity leave soon and plan on taking a lot of time off!
Ziggy is right - headphones!!! They can make your life 100% better at work - tune all the baby-rabies crap right out.
My sympathies. I especially hate it when they start talking about the gross stuff like mucus plugs and stretch marks. Since when is talk like that appropriate at the office?
Does your employer know they are paying these two moos to do nothing associated with actual work for the company? It just astounds me how much time these type of people waste during the work day!
Frighteningly enough ozarkmoon, it seems to be okay with them. Sigh. Being knocked up is like a ticket to laziness, and having others cover your work for you, it seems. Fortunately, nobody in my department is!
I'm sorry that you have to endure that kind of conversation at work. There`s a few pregnant women where I work and I have hear a lot of pregnancies stories. Well, way to many. Last week there were two women talking about their belly buttons. One even one had to show how it looks. That's great birth control to me.
