I just wondered if you joined to promote your business, or you were child-free like the rest of us and would be contributing in that way too. Childfree means NEVER having kids ever ever ever ever the end. So NO no one is interested in having kids with you here, trust me man.

Yikes.. I had no idea what this community was about. You could knock me over with a feather.

I joined at the invitation of Angela, for no other reason.

So...as a breeder...am I now persona non grata??
Well I guess you could stay (Have no clue who Angela is) but you probably wouldn't care for it. Just a warning, as a parent you may not like what some have to say. We freely express ourselves so if you find you don't like it, you should leave rather than argue and try to change our minds. You may be offended, but I don't know. Just giving you a heads-up here.
Our only real rule is that you shouldn't act in an idiotic fashion towards anyone else. So far, so good!

I would suggest that we have no problems if you stay provided that:
1. You never mention your children, and don't bring up the topic of children in threads that aren't on that subject ("You are a cyclist? Oh, that reminds me of when I was teaching my son to ride a bike... " type of thing)
2. You aren't offended by our complaints about children. We tend to have good reason for them, but a parent might get offended. Comments like "Hey, stop bashing parents! Not all of us are bad people!" will likely cause problems. We know that there are good parents in the world, but we like having a place where we can openly complain about the bad ones.

I tend to avoid reading the threads about children on here (either good, bad, or indifferent) as I like the fact that we can have interesting discussions and the subject never comes up at all. Think of it this way... as religion seems to be for you, children are to me. Everyone else can have their own opinion on religion, but I most enjoy living in a world where I don't have to choose and can instead ignore the topic completely.

Mind you, those are my own opinions but I think that they are a pretty reasonable interpretation of the general mood around here.

Welcome!
I like what Ziggy has to say. I'll add that sometimes one of us might refer to a child as a fucktrophy, crotch fruit, freshloaf... and we feel we have a right to without someone coming on and getting mad and arguing about it or getting offended. So if that bothers you, you might want to run!

I'm sure if you just take a look at several other threads you'll get a feel for it.

OOps..angela was another forum. sorry.I came here just clarifying a comment one of your members made about the response he got when he inquired about a pet rescue position (see page one of this thread).
Anyway... i could care less what you say about kids..my "kids" are in their late 20's /early thirties. But your're right, can't see this being my thing.

best regards everyone,

Ah well. I would have enjoyed reading any future posts on religion or atheism. Bart's blog is pretty entertaining, I'll just have to go there.
