1. crockpot.
2. Rice cooker Zojiroshi Neurofuzzy. It wasn't even on our wedding gift list, but a friend got us the rice cooker since we like rice.
3. Berkeley, California. When I first moved there I liked it. Unfortunately, we can't afford to live there now. Maybe when we retire. There's lots of culture, farmers' markets, bookstores and the University of Calif.
4. Disciplined Minds: A Critical Look at Salaried Professionals and the Soul-Battering System That Shapes Their Lives by Jeff Schmidt. It made me rethink everything:my schooling,my views of capitalism, labor, continuing education, certifications, apprenticeships, what does Professional mean? It's an ideology: you are supposed to go to college and get a degree and do better in life, then you need to go to grad school, then certifications, more training etc. But do you really need to or does it just prove you can afford to pay for more schooling versus other people who can't?
5. Model horses(Breyer)
We use our breadmaker about twice a month - more in the winter. It makes GREAT pizza dough and really good wheat bread. Love it!
"It makes GREAT pizza dough and really good wheat bread. Love it!"

I have heard from a couple people that the best way to use a bread-maker is to put all the ingredients into it, have it mix them up and almost ready to bake, and then actually bake the bread in the oven. A friend made the most fantastic buns that way. They aren't all created equal, but many of them seem to be unreliable with the actual baking.

I'm always a fan of the Shopping Bags for reviews:

I love my mini Quisinart prep.

I take this back. My most favourite gadget is my Garb-orator. I use it multiple times a day. I just love dumping my food in there and chopping it up.

We bought a blender we use like once every other year, lol. Its not junky or useless, but we could have found better uses for our $ then for
a 10 inch high electrical dust catcher, lol
