D comes from a family of photographers. When we get together, the cameras come out, but it tends to just be maybe 5 photos from each person, and they are candids. They tend to be very good (compositionally, etc.) photos.
Last year, D picked out a few of the very best ones, framed them, and gave them to key family members as gifts. They loved them!
As for "the OTHER kind of family photographer," that would be my step family. *eye roll*
I tend to prefer nature, still life, and commercial photography. I do have a few photos I've taken of D, but I'm picky about those, too.
