We'll see how it goes, but the vet guesses that Maxwell kitten may have something intestinal. I know, the first thing to check is medical, but he had had a dewormer/deparasiter and he seemed generally healthy. The vet said that the stuff he was originally given wasn't very good, so she gave me some stronger stuff (different brands too, which works better) and we'll repeat it for a number of doses (every couple weeks for a few months). She said his tummy was slightly distended, although nothing obvious, but it's the most straight-forward solution.

We'll see how it goes. Any idea how long it takes for the meds to take effect? A day or a week?
If they gave you antibiotics, you should notice a change within the first few days, I would think. But don't stop: make sure he gets the full course so that all the bacteria is destroyed.
The meds are for bugs in his tummy, so it's an anti-parasite or something. Not antibiotics, but that's all I know, as I'm familiar with those (lots of foster cats need antibiotics). I wish it would at least be familiar!

She gave him a pill on Monday and he's been fine the past couple days, but today his tummy was rumbling a bit (like my tummy when I'm hungry or unwell) and he went outside of the box. At least it was easy to clean, but this was after I let him out of the washroom and if he's going to do that again then I'll have to put him back until his next dose (which should improve the problem yet again) but that won't be for another 1.5 weeks. He's improving, but possibly not quite 'fixed up'.

I hope Maxwell gets well soon Dust
Goodluck and please keep us posted.
