Men in uniforms - hot or not?

I'm limiting choices - no "pie" choices on this one, ladies!
I'm not into the uniform thing. I'm the child of anti-war protesters, so military uniforms don't do anything for me. Cops and firemen? Not my thing either.
Hubby's in the military, I love it!
Women in uniform are definitely hot, but they have to be old enough for me to play with, so they have to have a lot of stripes or brass to qualify! When BJ was on active duty, she was definitely sizzling. And so, once upon a time, was I.

However, attitude can totally detract from the appeal. If they're bullies, they drop like whale shit to the bottom of the charts. At this point, I find a man in uniform to be a giant red flag. Women in uniform may still be intriguing.
I discovered the fine line for me. Whether men are wearing their uniforms doesn't matter to me. The fact that most of those men happen to be really fit? That makes them better than average.

I work with a lot of men in uniform, of varying types, and I do prefer to see them out of their uniforms. Yet as stated, on average I do prefer them to the general population. Mind you, I also prefer the marathon-runner build to the body-builders (a guy should not have a bigger chest than mine, and I am a B) and there are a lot of those in the military.
Obviously it depends on the uniform. DH is a Navy officer, and his uniforms make him look pretty hot, I think the Marines have the best uniforms, so they're hot, too. Canadian Mounties are hot if they're wearing their dress reds. And when I lived in London, I loved the State Dress uniforms of the yeoman warders from the Tower of London. I had two close yeoman warder friends, and I got to see them all the time. Their everyday blues are good, but the state dress is excellent. I got to hold one of the coats on the hanger, it was heavy as hell, all the gold thread is made of real gold. The Royal Horse Guards have good uniforms, too.

DH has worn uniforms most of his working career -- and yep, he's fit! -- so he definitely looks good! And I agree it's about level of fitness -- unfit persons in uniforms just look like unfit persons in uniforms.

I can't agree with women looking hot in uniforms -- I find that most organizations with uniforms tailor them to men's figures, and then just slap them on women. For example, DH now works for a State park, and the vertical pocket slits on the trousers just bulge out on women (because of their broader hips), and make EVERY woman look fat, no matter how fit she might be. It was the same with the police department he worked at, and the other State agency he worked for -- the men looked great, and the women looked like they were stuffed into men's sizes. HIDEOUS! Where groups tailor uniforms separately for women, they can indeed look good, but most don't, and so they look awful.
Not that I would ever defend the Air Force about anything, but the reason we looked good was because we had our uniforms tailored to fit on our own. If you don't do that, and you don't happen to have a boyish figure, yes, it can be pretty bad.
I'm going with hot. As long as the occupant of the uniform isn't ridiculously unfit, that is. Most uniform-wearers have short hair and I love that, too... that could be part of the appeal.

I dig checking out cops in NYC and even here in town. Love the Staties at the fair.

It's funny - I'm not just the child of anti-war protesters, I am an anti-war (and other things) protester. But I still dig the look. Those hotties can lock me up anytime with those handcuffs. Wink
When I hear uniform I think of cops. Wouldn't date a cop for a million bucks.
Ick, big NOT hot
I'm very upset about the lack of a pie option.
I picked hot. I'm a sucker for a man in uniform... dates back to my air cadet days, I'm sure.

Yeah. Some wo/men in some uniforms will never be hot because of the organization that spawned them. Mounties, or anything Canadian, not included.
HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT. I may catch some flack or this, but my biggest fetish is men in SS (and similar) uniforms. Yeah, yeah, bad symbolism and stuff, but let's face it - the uniforms were pretty sharp. Gorgeous men in those uniforms make me weak.
I hate to have to agree with you Nadleeh, but one of my own fantasies is a female celebrity who shall not be named in a similar-to-SS uniform. The black one.
Wow - interesting. I have to say that the SS uniform is not one that turns me on in anyway. Makes me sad, but definitely not hot.
Today I vote yes. My imagination says so. But in my youth, it would have been a big NO. I say yes because I like clean cut men. It is not so much the uniform part, it is the short hair and hard bodies I imagine underneath the stiff uniform that I find hot.

Yes, also for the female body in excellent shape. But if their philosophy doesn't match mine, I lose interest in the body very quickly. That is more often the case than not with uniformed people, which is why I confine my uniformed people to fantasies.
I thought I looked hot in uniform. At least that's what Paloma tells me Big Grin

And as far as military uniforms, I think the Coast Guard uni is the best! Not that I'm biased or anything.

I agree. The women's uniforms are specially tailored for them.
