Hi CFS, if Boardapalooza 2008 means meeting up with different
people on this board for a mini vacation or meeting or whatever.
Then I am sorry I cannot attend for 2008.
We used up all available funds when I flew off to see my Niece graduate basic Training in S.C
And after that lovely experiance
I decided I had my fill of air travel for the year.
Trains are just as costy nowadays,
And NO, I hate to ride on busses, so that is O.U.T
But, I will be rooting for you all as you all get together and
I hope you ALL have a wonderful time for Boardapalooza 2008
Edit: Please Check back with me in 2009

I was just thinking about the same thing!
I'd like to start campaigning for Boardapalooza 2008 to be held in Austin. If it were to be held in Austin, I would be thrilled to organize the whole thing. I don't have much room in my home to host overnight guests, but I'm glad to offer up my couch and floor space. Plus I live on 5 acres, so there's plenty of room for camping, should anyone want to do that.
Top 10 Reasons why Boardapalooza 2008 should be held in Austin
10. Best. Enchiladas. Ever. at Juan in a Million
9. It's a 2 to 3 hour drive from both San Antonio and Houston, and 4 hours from Dallas/Fort Worth.
8. Live music of every genre, all over town, every night of the week.
7. Alamo Drafthouse
6. Segway tours and duck boat tours.
5. Hippie Hollow, if you're into sunbathing au naturale.
4. More parks, hiking trails and greenbelts than you can possibly visit in a single trip. City of Austin Parks and Recreation
3. Austin is extremely dog-friendly, and anyone who wants to stay with me or camp on my property is welcome to bring their dogs.
2. Fun shopping and people-watching on SoCo
1. You get to hang out with me and get my insider's tours of the Texas Capitol and Austin!

Dates? Have they been decided yet?

Well, Austin is easy for me.
BTW, if anyone is into paintball, 2 ex-members of my NK! chapter now live somewhere in the hill country and they have given us a standing invitation to use their paintball field.

Austin would be good for me too. I have a lot of travel coming up for work and family, so that's the only place I could attend this year.

I am willing to sacrifice my Las Vegas trip in November for Austin! I've never been to Texas and would love to go there!
I'm aiming for November 'cause that's when I have holiday's. And it's cooler in Texas then.
