One of the advantages of age is, people will finally leave you alone about it. Except you might get questions about your grandchildren eventually. So far we haven't encountered that.
I can't say this was overly rude, but it was irritating. I was either 19 or 20, and really finally for sure coming around to the fact that I just wasn't going to have kids, even though I'd pretty much known it in my heart my whole life. So, I'm sitting at the kitchen table at a family get-together with my two older sisters. The oldest (I'm the youngest of three) is holding the middle sister's second child. I forget what I said, but middle sister's response was "...you'll see when you have kids some day." To which I responded, " I really don't think I want kids." The oldest then turns to my youngest niece at the time and says in a 'baby voice', "Aunt Denise is just going to be a nun." She was just joking around, but I totally wanted to say something like 'I don't think I'll have to turn to the nunnery, it's called birth control.' Anyhow, it got under my skin, and I remember eight or so years later.

Pink -- oh yes, because if you don't have kids, then your life should be devoted to God. Those are the only two choices!
Welcome, Pink!
