Anyone interested?
Well I was sitting here thinking about many of the things that I have done (past and present) and I realize that there are many things that I am not particularly proud of....(well, ok, maybe I am proud of some of them Wink ). So, I was thinking, if anyone is interested in a Confession Thread, perhaps we should start one.
They don't have to be deep dark secrets, although I am sure we would love to read them, but just things that you have done that really are not shared very often.
Maybe a thread to get something off your chest?

I totally understand if you are not interested. Some things are just not meant to be shared on a public forum.

If a few people are interested, I'll post my "confession" first!
I'll join. Although, just in case I wonder if first, I can change my screen name to NOT be my real name, ya know just in case!!!!!
As I recall, someone had an issue about this the last time it was tried a few years ago. The person was concerned that someone might throw it back in their face later. But that person does not appear to be on the board anymore, so I guess it's OK.

Oh, I didn't realize that.
Well, it was just an idea.
We don't all have to participate... if you want to start it then go for it, and if nobody continues then that's that.

Simple!

Just remember that the board is completely open to readers so there is no guarantee of any privacy at all. Provided that you remember this (maybe put a warning on the first post) then why not?

I probably wouldn't join in, but only because I tend not to have any confessions. My life is pretty simple and open.
I hate the smell of American cigarettes.
I love the smell of Canadian cigarettes. I spent my Summers in Ontario and my Mom, Aunt, Uncles and Grandma smoked.

I was in Ontario a few weeks ago and my cousin and I bought a pack of Rothman Specials and smoked them.

I never told DH. He LOATHES smokers.

Beatnik
LOL I hate the smell of American smokes, too, but LOVE the smell of Canadian ones. Still. Nine years after quitting.

I've never been a smoker, and I don't like the smell of burning cigarettes. But I LOVE the smell of the inside of a cigarette packet. The smell of the (unburned) tobacco is awesome. I also used to love the smell of my grandpa's chewing tobacco tins.

You could always create an account with a password, that way people won't know who posted what.

I don't think I have anything to confess that people don't already know....

Not to worry beachbum your secret is safe with me Smile
I've hate the smell of all cigarettes, pipes, cigars, cloves, and especially marijuana. It smells like burning bile to me, I'm grateful I'm never around it.

Speaking of, I might as well confess I've never smoked anything, including pot. I've never tried any illegal drug. Never been high or whatever. I've been drunk about 5 times in my life and hated it, so I don't drink very much.
When I was in the military, I was damned close to alcoholism. Most people in my academic life don't know about that. I seldom drink, and few of them have seen me do it. As I have aged, it just doesn't taste as good. But I can sometimes be enticed by a cold lime beer on a hot day, or a smooth pinacolada on a cruise. Never when I'm driving, though.
Clove cigarettes are niiiiiiiice. I haven't smoked them in eons, though. But I hate the smell of weed. And especially cigars. They make me dry heave.

PrairieGirl

I drunk enough once to be light-headed and woozy, but I've never otherwise been drunk. Like Anastasia, never did drugs, either. Did attempt to smoke about a third of a cigarette once, when I was trying to be a cool teenager. Nasty stuff!
I have never actually put a lit cigarette in my mouth. And only had a few hits off joints. I would do pot, though, if it were legal. I totally support legalization of medical and recreational MJ.

Cigar smoke makes me physically ill. Pipes are okay to smell. Cigarettes are nearly as bad as cigars.
I have never done drugs either, I don't think I even know what marijuana smells like. I like cloves though. Cigs don't always bother me, it just depends the situation. I really don't care for them though, unless it's at night, I'm out with friends or on a vacation and drinking. I don't smoke them though, only cloves but haven't had one in years. Never would smoke regularly anyway. I HATE cigars. Pipes aren't bad...
