Thanks everyone. It actually wasn't a very good weekend. Let's just say I was treated better by my co-workers than my family - including my DH who dropped the ball this time.

Oh damn, that sucks. Maybe your DH can make it up to you by celebrating your birthday again on another day? Like a do-over birthday? I've had birthdays where either myself or a loved-one have been sick and had to make up for it by celebrating later in the week. One year I got a migraine and ended up puking on the side of the road in the middle of downtown, so we called a mulligan and celebrated my birthday the next day instead.

Don't wait for him to think of it, tell him straight up "I'm pissed that you forgot my birthday and you owe me a nice dinner at such-and-such-place." Men aren't mind-readers, they need to be told in plain language how you feel.

He didn't forget. He got me the worst card I've ever received. I told him I didn't like it. It was a card you would give to a friend, not your wife. He was also going to pamper me this weekend and that didn't happen.

I was just disappointed that's all.

awwwwwwwwwww I know I know. I too have had shitty birthdays from my DH.

I can relate. Your story reminds me of my Valentine's Day w/ DH last year. Like they don't have ONE ENTIRE YEAR to plan something! Geeezzzz............
