Spring Foward....... yep.....That is it!!
Thanks for the reminder! Smile
Of course even though I will be reminded all over the place I know I will forget to set the clocks, lol. It happens to me every year, lol
Thanks for the reminder.

I say we just let the damn year be on Daylight Saving Time. Seriously, just leave it alone already.
Thanks for the reminder, it throws me off every time

I agree. This is so stupid.

I prefer real time to Daylight Savings Time. So, switch it back and THEN leave it the hell alone!
ITA I HATE all these damn TIME changes. Why can't they just leave it the hell alone, lol
Of course as I knew, I forgot to set all our clocks. And, I woke up thinking it was 11AM when it was really 12 noon, lol
Oh well, Good thing I did not have a date to be anywhere today, Smile
Ugh. We overslept today! The power must have gone off briefly during the night so the clocks were off. Then the cats didn't wake us up because they haven't gotten the hang of stupid daylight savings time! Of all nights for the power to go off! We overslept by an hour which meant no gym for either of us. I hate changing the clocks!
I get annoyed with it too. I lose sleep, my husband gets grumpy, my cats get confused... I also have 3 friends in Arizona who I talk to on a regular basis, and I can never remember if they're 2 or 3 hours behind! It's even worse for one of them since he lives in AZ and works in Nevada, so for part of the year he's in 2 different times - very confusing!

Just get rid of the dam time changes already!

Vanessa
I have to tell a story. When I went to boarding school, Daylight Savings Time nailed me every time. I always overslept which meant I missed mandatory meal time on Sunday which meant I got three hours of afterschool detention because of this nonsense.
oh hell no, lose an hour of sleep, then get smacked with 3 hours of detention. that is just fucked up.
Ugh, time changes don't bother me too much but this DST thing is just ticking me off. I was all out of whack yesterday, took a nap to supposedly "help" and then wasn't tired and didn't get to bed until 2am, so I got about 5 hours of sleep. It was still dark when I got up, later than normal, which totally screwed me up and made me feel like I was getting up too damned early for my helluva drive to work.

I'm with PG- let's go back, and THEN stop this nonsense, really, do farmers care anymore?
No surprise - last night I couldn't fall asleep and then this morning I was dragging. It must take a week to get over the switch.

The poor cats are not adjusted. Usually when I get home from work they are waiting in the window when the car pulls in. They have a very accurate internal clock. Yesterday they were not even at the door when I came in. They straggled in and had that look like they had been sound asleep. It was like they were asking what the heck I was doing home so early!
Oh yeah in AZ they don't change we could all go there ha ha. Part of Indiana too. I was in the states visiting Sunday so that was fun - but here in England we don't change until the last sunday SO YAY it's like I get to live thru it TWICE this time.

Honestly it doesn't bother me much, I wasn't really fully adjusted to the stateside time when I visited there anyway. Plus having to adjust the 6 hours when I got back into England and traveling/being awake 24 hours total kind of distracted me anyway.
The one thing I don't mind about DST is that it's light in the evening. As a night person, I don't want it to be light at 6 am. That's useless to me. I'd rather it be light at 6pm when I can do things.
i gotta agree with Eddy on that one, i prefer DST, i like it lighter later. morning, its useless, im either sleeping, or if i am up that early i am getting ready for work, and i dont care if it is light out or not.
Oh yeah I agree I don't get up at stinkin' 6 am unless I HAVE to. Like doc appt. Yeah I'm a night person too.
This thread is kind of cracking me up. I had NO IDEA that DST affected so many people. It doesn't affect me at all. Maybe it was all my travelling with the time zone changes? I don't know. An hour is nothing for me. I get jet lagged *badly* if it's three or more hours. But one hour is a SMALL price to pay for it being light at 7 pm for me!!

PrairieGirl

They say now that it's not about the farmers (who rise at dawn, no matter what time dawn is!), but it's about saving energy. Apparently, if there is more light in the evening, when we're home from work, we will use less electricity.

I call bullshit -- it just makes me have to use more energy in the morning, when I'm getting ready for work!

BTW, I'm the opposite of Eddy -- I'm a morning person, so light in the evening is worthless to me. Light in the morning would be better for me.
