DH has been gone only 10 days now (on a ship floating around southeast Asia) and it feels like an eternity. It really sucks not having any friends here, and dealing with 3 dogs all day is a two-person job. I have to walk them in two shifts because they all go in three different directions.
Even though I am actually getting some sleep for a change (no DH to wake me up at 5am now, and the dogs let me sleep from 2am to 9am), I feel absolutely exhausted all day. Yesterday I even had to lie down and take a nap, and I NEVER do that.
I think about how awful and lonely this is, and then I realize this is going to go on and on until the end of August! At least we have email each day, and sometimes when he's ashore he can call me. but it's still very lonely.
I used Nair, the one for the face, on my upper lip. I kept it on for less then 10 minutes. It burns and I hope that I'm not going to peel, once again. The same thing happend two weeks ago. I'll never use that crap again.
I have some little laugh lines and sometimes they are bothering me, like today. I went to my karate class and there's a guy who had to comment on them. He was joking but still, geez. He's the guy whom I complained about on the other board. I told what happend to my mother and couldn't believe how idiot he is. She said that he's not going to find a girlfriend if he tells that kind of comments to women.
Dolyne - I use that stuff for my face and it always peels after a day. I hate it so much, but I can't afford to get waxed every week (yeah, it grows back that fast!), so I just have to deal. =/
My PAM - It is so bloody HOT here that I feel I'm gonna keel over and die. It's freakin' 11pm! It shouldn't be almost 90 degrees! And it's gonna be even worse tomorrow! *dies*
I just went over to the union next door to get something from Subway. Unfortunately there were about 20 high school kids there for some kind of tour or something. Grrr! It doesn't help that they closed 2 of the other food places for the summer so they can remodel, so the only places they can now get food are Subway and Wendy's. Everyone told me that campus was LESS crazy once the students are gone, but I have yet to see a difference to tell you the truth.
Plus, we thought we were getting a Panda Express and a Taco Bell in place of the two closed places. Turns out they're putting in a Domino's Pizza instead of Taco Bell. I'm not a big Taco Bell fan, but it's still better than yucky Domino's and their crazy fundie founder!

What a dreary fucked up morning this has been.
I rolled over in my sleep at 7AM after having only 4 hours of sleep! And I must have rolled over too hard. For my C-Pap machine came crashing to the floor.
GRRRR TG it did not wake up hubby. I always knew he could sleep through anything, but I got my prove of it today. Cause it was a very loud crash!
Not only was the mess I made not a joy to clean up.
Water on my hard wood floor, from the humidifier part of the C-Pap machine. And everything that I had on my tray too, was now on the floor as well.
BUT Now my C-Pap machine won't operate anymore. I keep getting an error message and the unit inside looks like water on the inside.
And when I went to try to plug it in at first I got the error message
but now, there is no power to it at all Its like dead as a door nail.
So, Now I got a call into the sleep people & hopefully they will call me back today.
I have to have a working C-Pap machine tonight, Or not get any sleep at all.
ITMT, I have the unit wedged up againest our largest fan.
With any luck it will dry out and work again.
I hope I hope.
But anyway, I am still waiting on my DR to call me back too.
Cause a script has to faxed over to the health supply store.
This is going to cost me a pretty penny as My health insurance only picks up 90% of cost. Our old health insurance picked up 100% of cost.

There is no reason to bring a child under the age of 8 to a PG movie. And no reason to bring a baby to any movie theater. EVER.
Stupid breeders didn't even take the crying baby out of the theater and DH would not let me go back there and slap them to demand our ticket price. Seriously.
(Granted we went to see Prince Caspian, but the little girls who sat behind us were about 8-10 and they were darling. Their folks were about 5 seats away from them on the same row.)
I think my lunchbox was stolen from work yesterday.
I didn't bring it home yesterday, but I didn't notice this morning until I went to make our lunches. I thought I must have set it somewhere in the office different than usual, as there's no way I would have missed it when I left. But when I came in this morning, I saw that it is nowhere to be found.
I had a meeting in one of our conference rooms for most of the day, but I remember getting my banana out of it in the morning. I didn't go into it for any afternoon snacks because we went out to lunch and I was stuffed. It had to have walked some time over lunch or in the afternoon when I was in the conference room again.
I'm annoyed, but really fuckin' surprised, because this is such a nice and professional office. I'm still waiting for it to turn up because I put it somewhere I shouldn't have because the office atmosphere here is so good, but I just don't recall doing anything of the sort.
Grr.

My PAM: I spilled coffee on my pants this morning on the way to my desk from the kitchen. Damn it! Not a big deal--just an annoyance.
Another one: Our screen for our sliding door to the yard is off the damned track. Sure, you can get it back on the track--I did before I left--but it's not the same now, and we are going to need to replace it. Yet ANOTHER "little thing" that needs fixing that we don't have the money for!

The organizer of a vegetarian dining meetup announces she is bringing her 3 year old. I told DH it's not worth going. How is she supposed to be the host properly if she will be busy supervising him?
I've applied on a pharmacy technician job at the hospital. I've heard about that opportunity from someone who works there. Apparently I could apply even if the job was posted for intern applicants. I sent my CV and then called toasked if they received it. The job wasn't available at the hospital at in hometown, it's at a hospital an hour away. Of course, there are several hospitals the Regional Health Authority, not just in the town where I live. The person who told me about that job should have told me where it was.

I'm getting together to sell a ton of doujins that I'm selling, and I feel that I'm setting my prices too high. But damnit, these shipping supplies aren't cheap!
Oh what a day... first of all as I am locking the house up to go to work, the goddamn doorknob comes off in my hand! After fiddling with it, I got it rigged up to work temporarily and my mum replaced it this evening. That little production made me late for work. Now I am winding down for the night, getting ready for bed and I realize I can't find my cellphone.. I think I left it at work, on my desk.. people have sticky fingers at my job so I am hoping against hope that it is still there. The phone doesn't actually work, it's merely for keeping phone numbers and time and my alarm clock, but it would be a real pain to lose it. GRR.

Goddamn it! Why is it so hard for Texans to understand that escalators are actually STAIRS even though they move? That means you can walk UP or DOWN them and don't have to stand there like an idiot. If you are not going to walk up or down the escalator, then why the hell were you in such a hurry to get in front of me and get on it?

With all the rain that we have been getting our basement carpet is sopping wet. Not leaking through the walls, but coming up on the one side. Didn't get the gutters cleaned last night and more rain today. It is only on the one side of the house, but it is the side that we are in the middle of re-finishing. Thankfully it is the old carpet. But the house is starting to smells musty upstairs and we have not had a chance to tear out the carpet and padding. SIGH.
I just heard that psa form MADD. The one with the baby who do nothing but crying. Gosh that one is annoying. They want to do good and remind people not to drink and drive. But I hate all their psa with a passion.
I hurt like hell today, and I have not slept enough the last 2 nights. Even though I am finished with the Prednisone, my body is acting like I'm still on it today.
Did I mention I hurt? LIke, all over? A lot?

You obviously don't know our bedroom is so close to your driveway(we have old homes here without garages), or you wouldn't get up at 6 am every morning, unlock your car(beep beep), open the creaky back fence gate, water the plants, etc.
I guess we need to wake up early like you do. We don't need an alarm clock.

I think those are the same assholes who hurry up, cut you off, and don't let you merge and then go slower than everyone else too.
I've never understood the escalator thing, unless I'm beyond tired or in pain I walk- at least the people who don't walk can move over and let those that do go by- assuming there is enough room anyway.
Is that a regional thing? I've never noticed other places, just that I'm one of the few that actually walks when it's moving (D said it was weird too *shrug* )
