Nadleeh Wrote:Thanks, guys. I do qualify for unemployment, and they said they won't fight me on it. I think it's their way of saying, "Don't sue us." I was doing really good, got a raise and whatnot earlier this year. I fell and hurt my hip in the filing room doing heavy lifting and brought in a note from my physical therapist saying I couldn't do heavy lifting. A week later, I was called into the conference room and told that I was being "let go." Hmmm. Ain't that a coinky-dink?
Two PAMS today. First, I spent all last week sleeping. I don't know why I'm suddenly so exhausted all the time. I haven't changed meds or anything, but all I've done is sleep and I'm still tired! Secondly, I told myself I'd do some hardcore cleaning today. It's almost 1pm and I haven't done jack. Why is it so hard to get started??
Did you do any FMLA paperwork? As far as I know, unless you did, it's not illegal for an employer to fire you for being sick too often. It's probably worth talking to an employment lawyer, though.
Just got back from the beach. My nose & arms hurt due to being a bit sunburned. Blech. At least the frozen drinks & shrimps made me happy!
Goddamnit. It's official. I am that age where everyone I know and their sisters are all having kids. I swear, if I see another pregnancy or birth announcement, I'm going to fucking hurl.
They were cool people with lots of potential, too. But now I pretty much just write them off as friends, and most of them as human beings, too. I can't even bring myself to comment on their various pages. I see nothing to congratulate.
Oh joy, my shower's broken.
Nadleeh: ITA with P.G & anestasia it looks to me like you DO
have a very strong case.
But it is YOUR decision.. Keep in mind once you sue a company
you won't be getting any, well, for the lack of a better term glowing
references from them, when it comes for you to seek work somewhere else.
So please just be careful in how you burn your bridges, lol
Trust me from one who has been there and did that.
My PAM.. My OBGYN called me said my urine is clean and I do NOT
have a UTI. You would think that would be good news? NO! Cause NOW I am still in the dark as to what is causing my discomfort down there... I was given a new RX cream. To use for 7 days.
I will pray like crazy this stuff works.. Cause I am getting mighty sick of this same damn problem Of burning and itching & Nothing I have tried helps.
AND YES they ruled out Yeast too. So its not that either.

I decided to have a series of laser tratments for facial rosacea (vascular disease of the skin that causes redness, breakouts and spider veins) The first treatment made me swell up like a balloon but I knew that was going to happen and I cleared my schedule so I could hide inside because I looked like I had been in a street fight LOL!
The second treatment was yesterday and it was supposed to be much gentler...I woke up this morning looking like Winston Churchill...my face looks like I disturbed an angry hornets nest. I have an important meeting 2 days from now and I'm going to look like I fell asleep on the beach in the sun for 12 hours with no sunblock. I've tried icepacks, anti inflammatories, aloe vera gel, and benedryl. Thank Dog I slept sitting up last night or my eyes would be swollen shut!
I am praying that it peaks soon and starts to go down or I'm going to receive some very funny looks! What did I learn boys and girls? Don't schedule treatments you don't know the proven (for me) side effects from right before an important event...you'd think I'd know better from the time I had my eyebrow pierced right before a dinner with conservative family and I figured I could hide the piercing with my bangs. Yes, I could hide the eyebrow stud but not the black eye I got because the peircer hit a vien...yes I'm a bright one! LOLOL
oh, no, dogsbreakfast! I hope the swelling goes down really quickly. I wonder if there is anything you can take that might help. I hope it gets better.
I have a reprieve...meeting postponed until Tuesday!
By that time the swelling should be gone, Thank Dog, I can sleep lying down tonight, my butt is getting sore from sleeping sitting up!
The only downside is that I have to stress out for another 5 days waiting for this meeting to be over, ah well...things usually work out for the best.
My face is completely broken out. It hasn't been this bad in many, many years.
I have some kind of disturbance in my lower lip -- like tiny pimples, or something! They have swollen my lower lip!! ARGH! I'm miserable with lip balm, and miserable without it. Why won't it just frikkin' go away?!?!? Two days is ENOUGH!!!
Long-awaited pay day and what does fiscal do? Completely forget that I work TWO f'kng jobs for the company and leave off 25 hours of work for the pay period. Ijots!
I woke up with horribly swollen lips. The lower one has gone down a little. I don't even know why this is happening!
I've got a letter in the mail this morning. It was a rejection letter for the job I've applied on. I really wanted to have that job, oh well, back to job research.
And then there's the mayor of the city, hoping to get reelected, say that he created nothing but 800 jobs in the last 4 years. At the same time people around my age, hundreds of them, are leaving for Alberta, or other places. So it really didn't helped.
Oh beautiful.
The place I order my Tylenol 3's from in NZ (because doctors here refuse to prescribe pain meds to people in pain because assholes abuse them) no longer ships outside the country. Which means I'm totally fucked and get to spend the rest of my life in horrible pain. At least I won't feel like a criminal anymore.
I'm going driving today. Maybe I'll run my car into a ravine while I'm out.

Dude, that's nuts!! I hope it goes away and doesn't come back!
Sounds like I am not the only one miserable health wise.
I hope dogbreakfast, & Nadleeh and P.G get well soon.
My allergies are kicking my ass today.

I cannot breath, my sinus is killing me my head hurts too.
I took some sudefed & loratine and its not helping.
I have to wait till payday (Friday), so I can try something new

I'm so sorry. I know you've been looking for a long time.
@hazmat - get thee to a pain clinic or pain management specialist!

DH has been using Zyrtec for a while now. He tends to have to switch between meds so his body doesn't get use to one. But Zyrtec seems to be a winner for at least a while. He has done about 3 months of Zyrtec so far.
My PAM? A bit TMI... I was so ill yesterday that I called into work and only called one of my contacts not all three. In fact, one of the gals I didn't call, called me at home about an hour after I normally am there. I have no clue what I did or ate, especially since DH didn't have any problems, but I was up with cramps at 3AM and never got back to sleep. And then after 6:30 until about 2:30 yesterday, I was never more than 5 steps away from the bathroom. I am still tired but decided to come into work since I seem to be better on that end of it. (hello pun)
One of the two licensed funeral directors at my funeral home is leaving in less than two weeks. He got a new position elsewhere. I know that he has not been happy for quite some time and the truth is, if he's not happy at it is going to affect the mood and morale of the whole "team", then I think it's better all around for everyone that he's going.
The thing that I've been noticing is that he's been really popping off a lot about the boss behind his back. I guess he's getting a bit cocky and thinks that he's leaving, so why does he have to continue to play nice? I find however, that it's been irritating me because I think it's immature and unprofessional. He's also popping off to two of the younger guys (early 20s) who work there who are very impressionable. Needless to say, his attitude is rubbing off on them and they're even starting to complain about the boss.
I understand that this home cannot provide some of the benefits and perks that a larger firm could: insurance, 401K, etc. But if these things were so important to this guy, then why didn't he find a new position as soon as he finished his internship and became licensed? No, instead he put up with whatever was annoying him for 4 more years and is now apparently bitter as hell.
I stay out of it because it doesn't concern me. And I don't want to take sides. But to be honest, I think that when he leaves, it's going to be better all around because like I said, his attitude was starting to rub off onto the other guys. In turn they would copy him and have started to slack off a bit and be sloppy in their work. You can't be sloppy working in a funeral home. It just won't cut it.
Even though I think things will be better, the other guys think (including the guy whose leaving), that the whole operation is going to practically "crumble" without this guy there. I think they are giving him far too much credit. Was this guy a hard worker? Yes, but lately, his job performance has sucked because I know he just doesn't care about his work. So quite frankly, I don't see that happening.
I'm dreading tomorrow at work because the boss is off and the other licensed guy is on. I just hope he keeps his bad mouthing to a minimum. This industry is small and everyone knows everyone. And eventually, his bad mouthing of the boss could come back to hurt him one day.
gingerzing: as soon as I am done with taking the generic version of Clariton, I will try the Zyrtic & let you know how it works, thanks
My PAM is Boots related.
That little stinker mangaged to knock over his water and food bowl all over my nice semi new bedroom carpet.

He scared himself mostly and hid under the bed while I had to drag out the big vacuum and hope that I did not wake up DH
Thankfully, my man can sleep though anything, lol
So, that was not a problem.
But cleaning up after him, was a chore. Since he managed to get the food and water in his little bed. So I had to wash and dry that sucker out too.
And to make sure I got every morsel of food up from the carpet, so that we don't attract any more ants.
When DH has the time he will spray the house with the goo we got.
If that does not help, then we make take steps to call a Profesional.
But ITMT,
The problem is, now, I had to put his food & water in the kitchen on the floor.
I know Boots will find his food ok.
I just hope the ants, don't!
