I also agree, don't wait, don't take any notes to see what he will do. Call them now. He isn't going to be playing nice so neither should you.

I got a bill from the hospital for my ER visit where nobody saw me for three hours and I finally left. Hahaha, you're not getting a dime out of me. But you are getting a nice letter explaining why I'm not paying you.

Yeah. I'd dispute that.

How much is the bill?

I had an interview this week for a job at a radio station. I thought that I have good chances of getting it. And it was a job with benefits, inssurance after three months, three weeks of vacations after a year. Dream conditions or what.
Well I just had an email telling that I don't get the job.
*sight*

I'm running out of money. I only have enough to pay my karate class and my computer for about five months. I guess that I'll have to cut karate for a few months if I find nothing.

About $100. May not sound like much, but it's a lot to me cause I'm unemployed, and I'm not paying for treatment that I never received.

I was actually expecting it to be more, like a thousand or something, just for walking in the door. Fuckers. Hell, no, don't pay that shit. I don't blame you at all, whether you're employed or not, it's fucked up.

I waited a whole year in Anticipation of us getting vision insurance!
Well we are getting it, but it sucks big time.
DH was told it is not worth the paper it is written on and it is a big fat
PITA to collect on.
Of course it is the kind that you have to front the $ up front, and then fill out scads of paper work in hope that they reimburse you for whatever they will cover.
This sucks for me, cause I have a very heavy RX when it comes to my glasses. And I do need a new pair.
But NOW they will cost us a small fortune.
*grumble grumble*
So, I guess we need to start saving up some $ Cause our new Vision policy sucks!
What pisses me off is, had I known this policy was a suck ass kind, I would have saved my $ from last year, and paid for my glasses on my own.
Who knew?

I feel sick. I have felt sick for weeks, to varying degrees. I won't be seeing my doctor for at least two weeks.
I'm also feeling really bitchy.
Enough, already!

My Internet router died. I bought a new one, and spent all day trying to configure it and the modem to play nicely together. I was THISCLOSE to bashing both with a hammer. But as you can see, it is now working, and I'm back on the 'net.

PG, You're right. Techonlogy HATES me. I don't know that I would have done as well as you did.
My PAMs: 1) I've felt nauseated all day. 2) My gynecologist has left the local office for my HMO, so now I have to see a new one. 3) Kaiser's online appointment setting service is USELESS! They couldn't get me in until August 14! I canceled the appointment and will try and set one up by phone.
GRRR!

Tomorrow and Sat. are my move dates. The people we thought were helping us, well, guess what they backed out. I'm so cynical about the human race right now... I'm not sad to be leaving that town, given this. It's really discouraging.
Either way, it will all get done.
At least tomorrow's weather isn't ridiculously hot.

Good luck with it! It's frustrating when you don't have all the help you need!

Good thing about the weather at least.
I thought you had a couple different folks that were going to come and help. Bummer.
Seriously, if I was a little closer, I could help. I even have a two-wheeler cart.

Hey, looks like we're moving at the same time. My parents are helping me, and also two friends - so I lucked out this time. Unfortunately, it IS ridiculously hot here, and there have been various SNAFUs - but overall, it's getting done. I hope you get moved in without too much angst.

The dog is ALWAYS in the way! She laid down in the kitchen as I was rushing from sink to fridge to trash can, cleaning it out and dumping icky storage containers in the sink. At some point, she quietly moved into my direct line of walking, and I stepped square on the middle of her foreleg. The second I felt her underfoot, I shifted my weight, and ended up slamming my hand into the fridge. I think I very badly sprained my pinky and ring fingers on my right hand. Hurts like hell!!!
And of course, DH runs for the dog with sweet baby voice to make sure I didn't break her widdle leg. HELLO! Injured wife here!!!

A new guy started working at the funeral home. He's licensed and he's actually pretty close in age to me (only 2 years younger). He's cute and he says that he knows me from my other school from being in the music program. I played violin and he played piano there.
Of course, he's got a GF. Not that I want to date someone I work with but it just figures. All the guys that I find decent looking, mature, and polite all have GF's or wives or fiances. Everytime, I even give a guy a second look, I swear, I find out he's attached.
Where are all the decent, single guys? I'm not looking to rush into any kind of serious relationship yet, but I'd like to at least meet some guys to talk to and get to know. It's kind of hard to do that when they have a GF hanging on their arm, know what I mean?
But I know realistically aside from the fact that this guy has a GF, he's working PT where I am. And it's not like it's a large enough company where we won't be seeing each other. But last night, I went out to dinner with him and another co-worker to restaurant where his GF is a waitress. I met her and she seemed really nice. She started talking about how she's a bit creeped out by dead bodies but I was explaining to her that I got used to it after awhile. Then she said (to all of us), that she's all about "having babies."
I wonder what her BF thought about that! Lol.

I am really sick and tired of small or one-person owned businesses who put ads in the paper as wanting help. They want everything from personal assistant to hand holder to office manager. And for shit wages. That is IF you can get them to actually set a date and time for an interview and then fucking show up.
Example: I have been calling (long distance, mind you!) this man who runs his own painting company for over 3 weeks now. Finally, Friday he backs out on our scheduled interview, but says 'meet Sunday 11:00 a.m. at McDonald's'. Um, okay. Don't you have an office? Well yes, he does, but it is in his home and the family will be there. Fine, whatever. So what do I do? Like an idiot I go to McD's and sit for 30 fucking minutes waiting. No guy. I go buy milk across the street at Dollar General and come home. Calm down and settle in. Then I call him.
Oh yeah, how are you? Can we meet today? Um, no. We had a scheduled meeting at 11 and I just spent 30 minutes waiting for you. He starts asking the family, who are all apparently in the vehicle with him, if they are hungry. Asked if I wanted to meet with them all. Sure I'll bring my screaming brats to match with yours I hear in the background and it will be a high old time! What a professional way to interview a potential office manager/hand holder. NOT!
I had reached my limit. I told him this: I'm sorry to say this, but I feel it is unconcionably rude to put me off for weeks, then make an appointment and miss it entirely. If you find that you are ever in need of a professional office manager, you have my number on your cell phone.
Asshat apologizes the entire time, but you know what? I don't give a flying rat's ass anymore. I'm done. If he runs his business like this, there are already unsatisfied customers and word-of-mouth travels fast in these parts. He won't last long.....

So I'm a member of the local pug rescue group, and today I was called to do a transport. Basically, there's a pug 30 miles north of where I live who needs to go from one foster home to another so they can see how he does alone instead of with other dogs. The other foster home is around 30 miles south of me, I'm in the middle. San Diego area is actually really huge and spread out and it's all about the freeways.
The lady taking the dog is unwilling to drive all the way up north to get the dog. So I asked if she'd be willing to meet half way at my house, I'll go up and get the puggie and bring him back to my house, that way I don't have to drive literally 120 miles today, only 60 miles. No, she's not willing to leave her part of town at all because she has a big ole SUV that gets about 5 US soldiers and 10 Iraqis per gallon and she don't have no money for gas anymore and she ain't goin' nowhere. Geez. Have some more kids, why don't ya.
So, I agreed to meet her at the Walmart (of course) near her house after I get the puggie. Luckily, the woman who has the pug, who lives 30 miles north of me, was willing to drive him to my house when I called her. Sigh. That's was really nice of her.
I mean, I don't mind it under certain circumstances. Last time, I had to drive about 30 miles to pick up a pug at an SPCA shelter and transport him to a vet who is located about 15 miles away from the shelter, and then around 20 miles back home. That's different. That pug was a homeless stray and had no one to drive him around. This situation is purely because this one lady refused to meet the other lady half way because of her pointless SUV, and that really sucks.
