Hey everyone....
It's been a couple of months since I've really been around. Things have been ok and consistently busy.
I started the new part time retail job I wanted (and got). I'm making peanuts, but I enjoy it, it takes very little thinking, it's zero stress and 5min from home so I'm very happy with it!
I already finished 2 of my 3 classes this semester so those kept me busy as well.
We've settled back into life here. We've managed to empty one storage unit, sell a ton of stuff and make a lot of progress in putting the house back together. We did a lot socially for the Halloween season since that is our favorite time of the year and we hope to keep up the socializing.
Another of DH's uncles died last week which makes 3 deaths for us this year. He was young, only a couple years older than DH's dad when he died and his family was very close. The funeral was very touching and personal.....we feel for their loss and it also brings up feelings of longing for family on our end. We get over it, but it's still a downer.
We were THRILLED Obama won !!! We stayed up to watch his speech and I was very excited by it. I really think our country is headed for distinct change. I was very surprised by the quick, decisive win! I expected a lot of crap with the results.
I am comfortable with where things are for right now despite the upheaval with the failed plans to move and all related crap. I don't think any further ahead than a week or so now and I really enjoy the isolation. I don't mind being around the public for my job, but I spend a lot of time at home alone (DH is working an odd shift so he's gone most of the bulk of the day) and I think it's been good for my psyche! I consider it healing time.
Hope all is well with everyone ! I'll be getting caught up on posts now that I'll have a stretch of time where I'll only have one class. As long as scheduling goes well, I'll finish this degree by the end of the spring semester and will have the summer to make a decision on the next degree. One day at a time though!
